    Not to mean to sound offensive, but seeing how far our knowledge of this planet has come in the last 500 years, by the year 2300 or 2400 I would wager that the belief that the Earth was created in seven days will be as common as the belief that the Earth is flat is now.

    and the whole perfect world argument is for the weak of heart who want it to be better (they actually acknowledge there is evil in the world) but don't see themselves fit to do anything about it. Hmm... That's a holy argument, and not in the godly sense.

    Religion will always exist as a tool, because there will always be dumb or ignorant people. Doesn't matter how far our understanding comes, as some people are incapable of critical thought, and thus drag us down with them.
