that was a huge succes here in europe (in germany and france atleast). great movie!
I recently saw "Der Verlorene" (The Lost One) by and with Peter Lorre from 1951. I'm taking a course on film at university atm, so I get to see many old films. -

Wicksteed, it's been a big success worldwide. Deserved. Great film.
Gir, I saw that too. I hope they'll do a good job portraying superman with a sense of realism like Nolan did with batman. Looks pretty awesome. -

Really looking forward to Man Of Steel, but I hope Snyder makes a movie with more than just great visuals like he usually does. Having Nolan backing him up will hopefully set it straight, cause it does look terrific. Looks like a great cast too, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon as Zod, Russell Crowe... just awesome.
I just saw Men In Black 3, really good and a fun movie to watch with a stellar performance from Josh Brolin. -

Saw Accepted a week or so ago, a film from a few years back that I'd never heard of before. Turned out to be a fantastic film. -

Saw the Hobbit yesterday...so good. And I'm so glad that there are two more. I was skeptical of the movie living up to the quality and "magic" of LotR but it certainly did. -

I just watched The Hurt Locker while building in RCT.
Awesome, the end just got to me. It was a good movie and got it's point across but man, didn't leave me feeling very good. -

^ Watching a film while playing a game is kinda disrespectful.. That's like listening to Wagner while taking a shit.
Just saw Akira.. One of the greatest movies of all time.
What a perfect way to introduce the end of the world:

^I only listen to songs I REALLY like when I'm taking a shit. That's one of the few moments when I barely get distracted from listening.
Watching a film in the background is sometimes rather fun. Especially when it's a film with a slow start. -

What the hell is Napoleon Dynamite? I honestly cannot tell if I like that movie or not.
Just saw the avengers, one of the most epic movies I've ever seen. -

Pff.. I will never understand why Americans get so exited about men in tights flying around. It was a funny, exiting movie, which basicly provides everything our shallow, childish instincts desire, but it offeres nothing more than that. It's just one of a thousand in my opinion, another movie pooped out following the same formula Hollywood has had lying around for decades now, only slightly adjusting the "facade", the name, the theme, the suits. It was slightly amusing as long as the movie was running.
I'm catching up on Anime.. Just watched "Howl's moving castle". It was great actually! When you can accept the charm of the overly cheesy Japanese atmosphere. It was very imaginative and surprising, a world which I could have never imagined in my wildest dreams. I think Spirited away was still better though. -

What do you know, I just watched that this afternoon. It was a well done movie, but it bypassed me. I kept waiting for something "bigger" to happen, and it never did. Everything event felt like a sub-plot, when it was actually the main story. The film's point is very clear at the end, but I guess I was just expecting something different. -

The new Oz was straight awful. It even creates implications for the original that change the tone of it completely. -

Saw it two days ago. The CGI looked terrible for a Disney movie. Acting was mostly cringe-worthy, but it's a kids' movie so I'm not really sure how to take it. It was average. They're clearly looking to make some kind of movie universe continuity with it, though, and if so it might "fit" a little better (since the books are rather contradictory anyway, but they are public domain so Disney can use them with their own creative liberties). -

MA, those implications (if I may read that as references) are to the 2014 version of Wizard of Oz, most likely.
Last movie I saw was Silver Linings Playbook. Great film! It was very interesting and fun to watch a rom-com with two entirely different people than usual. Instead of the typical Mila Kunis-like girl there was just a rather dark woman and instead of a guy who's charming and always knows what to say they put a mental instable person who usually says stuff that he shouldn't say. Great acting and a great story. I recommend this pretty much.
