General Chat / Last Movie You Saw?

Although, most of the extened scenes were pretty terrible.

I have to disagree, but then again I read the books (long time ago though) so I missed less.
Besides the first scene of RotK with Christopher Lee is just too good to miss. That was some good acting. It should have been in the cinema version, period.

Saw the Amazing Spiderman twice. So much better than the other three. I'm really excited to see this progress, as I think Andrew Garfield is a much much better Spiderman. Tobey McGuire suuuuuucked. Plus, Emma Stone anyone?

Also, Brave was fantastic, and Prometheus was gorgeous as well. Really excited for Batman!

Oh GOD Prometheus was good! I saw it twice. Anywho, latest I saw was "A Man for all Seasons". I'm a movie buff and a list guy, so I'm watching all 84 best picture winners. With a am for all season done, I've got 11 left.

I have friends that saw Prometheus, and they confirmed for me that I knew every single plot point before even seeing it, including who dies when, how, and the ending. The visual style and soundtrack looked amazing though, so I'm sure I'll torrent or rent it or something some day. Heard Amazing Spiderman was rubbish so I'm not too interested in that (I was a fan of the old ones, and it seems like only people who hated them care for this reboot). Saw Ted a week ago and quite liked it, even though I'm not usually a fan of Seth MacFarlane. Seeing The Dark Knight Rises at midnight on Thursday though, and I'm pants-on-fire excited for that.

I just saw Moonrise Kingdom, and I have to say, it will definitely be winning an Oscar.

Plus, Emma Stone anyone?

Disagree, TDK was amazing because of Joker, TDKR was amazing because of EVERYTHING. Batman is about the people, the city, the atmosphere, the fear...TDKR won it for me.

PS: Bane is fucking scary

dark knight rises. at 2h45 it was too short. elements had too little room to resonate.

THANK YOU. Without Ledger's performance TDK wouldn't have been half as good as it was.

On reflection I think the pacing was a little awkward, and the complete omission of any sort of reference to the Joker was disappointing. But these are about my only issues with the movie. I'd like to go back and see it again, but no one wants to go with me -.-

Pretty good for a Spanish English language film with actors I'd never heard of. Shows some pretty cool/interesting perspectives of Christianity, and, in general, the characters.
