Tell them it's opposite day so Ricky Gervais isn't AWESOME.So I'm trying to convince my friends to see Zombieland instead of The Invention of Lying. Any evidence to support this?
You've got to be the first to call IB a Brad Pitt movie. Not Brad Pitt's best movie, but he did a good job too.
Last I watched was the whole second season of Conchords straight. Last actual film was 400 Blows. -

^Well, Brad Pitt was kinda the main factor in going to see it. When someone asks you why you're going to see IB, you're probably going to say one of three things:
-"It's a Tarentino movie."
-"It's got Brad Pitt in it."
-"I heard that it was funny."
And in all seriousness, Brad Pitt was the main star of the commercials. Every commercial you saw had him in it, even though he was really only in half the movie (if that). -

The Devil's Rejects. It was weird as fuck. Better than House of 1,000 Corpses, though. That was just dumb. -

Maybe I live in an weird town but when I talked to people about it Pitt wouldn't come up until we got to performances in general.^Well, Brad Pitt was kinda the main factor in going to see it. When someone asks you why you're going to see IB, you're probably going to say one of three things:

Just got back from seeing Zombieland. Holy freakin' crap, that was a funny ass movie! I laughed until it hurt. Best scene: When they shot Bill Murray. I can still feel the tightness in my sides. -

Am I the only one who sees the irony of this post?^That movie was terrible and so predictable.
Saw 6. Best one yet.

Haha well yes that was part of the reason it was so good. For instance, if you didn't think the acting as purposely bad, you didn't understand the movie. The Indian fortune-teller for instance has some hilarious lines, and Sam Raimi really puts on a fun show with this one. I'm not really sure what you were looking for out of this movie? A deep and meaningful plot? It's meant to be ridiculous. It's meant to make you laugh. It's meant to make you scream. I thought it was a good flick.^That movie was terrible and so predictable.

Watched UP last night.... seems to be a yearly tradition now of watching the latest Pixar movie on Halloween night. Was better than I thought it'd be. That's about it. -

Yeah but at least we know Saw is going to introduce bad acting. I find their story lines pretty solid and very entertaining.Am I the only one who sees the irony of this post?

The Science of Sleep
Brilliant movie in concept and cinematography. Excellent acting, likable characters. Everything just comes together to portray the overall confusion that main character feels. It would be up there with my favourites if there was some kind of closure to the plot. It just abruptly ends, as if it were an afterthought. I get why it is the way it is, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
