Iron Man. It takes a lot for me to cough up another $9 to see a movie again, but damn if this film didn't deserve it. I'm definitely looking forward to Iron Man 2 in 2010. If Thor, Ant-Man, and Captain America all turn out this good, the Avengers movie will ROCK.

Cloverfield. I wasn't that impressed and the camera was really annoying, along with the guy behind it. I guess it was okay for what it was, but the climax was probably when the power went out in real life half-way through the movie.

    Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I've been a huge Indy fan all my life, so I was really happy to see this turn out well enough. I was expecting a disaster, but it went pretty damn well. On par with Temple of Doom, but can't touch Raiders or Last Crusade.

    Same.
I think for his age Harrison Ford is very proficient.
And they have found a good follower I think... ;)
    Good movie.

Indiana Jones. I doubt I'd put it above even Temple of Doom, but it was alright.

Saw Indy again with a whole bunch of friends and a packed theater. Really changed the experience. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it, and even applauded at the end.

Wow. Of course, I didn't see it with a packed theatre. Everyone just kinda got up and left.

I thought it was awesome. Kinda wierd toward the end, but still really awesome. I really liked the way they brought time foreward. I was a little surprised that the movie took place in '57, but it made Ford seem more suited to the part. (Spoilers Following! Read at your own risk!) I also think they did a good job at giving Indy a son. I think it opens up the possibility of prequels. I speak specifically about Indy's mention of being held captive by Pancho Villa. I think Speilberg and Lucas really hinted at that in the wedding seen, when Mutt picked up Indy's hat off the ground.

Overall, a really awesome movie. I give it 9/10. Last Crusade is still the best though.

I've seen Indiana Jones: KotCS twice now, and I liked it much better the second time. The first time I went in expecting the entire film to be a throwback to the originals, so about half way through I was getting severely disappointed. I went to see it again mainly because I'm such a huge Indy fan and couldn't stand the thought of hating one of his films. I definately enjoyed it more. I rate the first 3/4 of the movie 4/5 stars, and the last part 2/5. It just went too sci-fi for me at the end, and the thought of Shia taking the series on gives me shivers.

Xin, that spoiler was a reference to the Young Indiana Jones series. And while there have been some hinting towards LaBeouf taking the series, I don't see it happening.

    A Sound of Thunder

I saw this movie on the Sci-Fi channel a couple of days ago. I remember reading the short story (by Ray Bradbury) in my freshman year of high school, so I thought I'd watch the movie.

It was a pretty good movie. The book was very short, so the directors had to add a bunch of extra plot stuff to make turn it into a full length feature, but the end result was good. The special effects were second rate, but the acting was alright. Not perfect, but bearable. One thing I did like about the movie though, was the fact that what happens after Eckels returns from "Time Safari" is more believable. (Eckels goes on a "Time Safari and accidentally kills a butterfly. In the short story, this causes a shift in world powers. In the movie, the death of the butterfly causes the evolutionary chain of events to take a detour. A bit more realistic, I think.)

Overall, I'd give the movie a 7/10. I would certainly recommend it for fans of Sci-Fi movies.
