The Shooter
Had a lot of action, could get a little hard to follow in a couple of moments, but overall I really enjoyed it.

The Prestige. Quite good, though I completely figured it out at the cat part, so that was kind of disappointing. There was an Outer Limits episode with the same story. Though that did make me feel pretty smart after the somewhat confusing beginning.
Children of Men tomorrow. -

Watched Return of the Jedi for like the bazillionth time ever. There was nothing to do this morning, and it was on. What a series of films, i can never get bored. -

Just saw Children of Men. Very good, though it definitely would've been better in the theater. I was a little disappointed with the ending though, but that's okay, as the music during the credits sort of explained what happened. And it was very realistically done for a futuristic film. I'd like to hope that we'd be a little more advanced, but it seemed about right for where we'd be at that point, at least when you consider that we wouldn't be advancing much after losing hope in a future. Basically, everything was advanced a bit, but nothing really magical and fantastic came about. Anyways, I could probably say more, but I won't. I'd give it maybe a 8.7/10 or so. -

300. It wasn't bad. The narrative didn't work like it did with Sin City. The movie as a whole was shadowed by how amazing Sin City was. Worth going to see in the theaters, sweet fight scenes etc.
Hill sHave Eyes 2. Horrible movie.
The Quick and the Dead (I think). Sharon Stone was either really hot or looked mid 30's (i.e. a bit old) and like a woman I had swimming lessons from when I was a kid. That was the gist of the movie.
Hopefully my next will be Grind House. -

The most recent two were 300 (Wednesday) and I Want Candy (last night).
300 was pretty awesome, especially the 'slowed down' fight scenes. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending, but that was history lol. Ah well, the fight against that big monster guy and the part where he is walking forward on his own and taking all the persians on one by one were two of my fave scenes.
I want candy was good, but not great. I wasn't really the sort of film that i laughed at all the way through, but just at some scenes (the part when the actor 'bursts' onto the lighting guys face comes to mind'. But man, Carmen Electra is so fucking hot. -

300. Pretty good. I preferred Sin City, but I'd definitely watch it again, maybe buy it, since it was an entertaining film. The dialogue was the worst part. -

I watched "Stay Alive" yesterday, 'cos... I don't know, I was bored. It was okay for a horror flick. 6/10 -

Children of Men
An interesting story, but the doom and gloom perspective was a over the top. Very depressing. In fact, I would go as far to say that it is the most depressing movie I have ever seen. One feature on the DVD was "Possibility of Hope" which was actually more depressing than the movie.
I want to give it both a 10/10 and a 0/10. -

I saw Grindhouse on Thursday at midnight.
It was good. Planet Terror was the better of the two, but Death Proof had its moments.
And then I just watched Freddy vs. Jason yesterday on DVD for the hell of it.
Also, did anyone else see the Halloween trailer yet? The re-"imagining" from Rob Zombie... It looks sweet. -

I've seen:
The Flight of the Phoenix (the old one) - Better than the new one, but the new one wasn't bad either.
Snakes on a Plane - Pretty amusing.
A Scanner Darkly - I couldn't really follow it. Kind of disappointing. I suppose I need to read the book.
The Guardian - Not too bad, though about the same as any other army training movie.
Final Destination 3 - My least favorite of the three, though about the same overall. -

Guess what I did all weekend.
The Descent - One of the best horror movies I've seen.
Zodiac - Quite good. I didn't know much about the story, aside from what my mom's always telling me about how she went to school with the second girl who was killed, so it kept me guessing. The second half of the movie had me with low expectations, since I was thinking the investigations weren't going to get anywhere, but it was still pretty good. Anyways, it was one of my top three of Fincher's, but I wish he would get around to doing Rendezvous with Rama -

Children of Men
It was a mix of disturbing and depressing in that movie that made me dislike it somewhat. But it was still very good.
9/10
