I just watch Sophie Scholl. Its subtitled, and I think it might be from Germany since that's the language they're speaking (duh, makes sense, right?). Anyone else seen it? It's one of the best films of the year for me; very powerful and very interesting.

German is spoken in Switzerland too.

    Pursuit of Happiness
Quite good. I was expecting something more light hearted, but it was actually quite sad. 8/10

    Mission Impossible 3
    Quite bad. 4/10

I had to watch it in RE a few weeks back, it is a really good movie, but her eyes annoyed me, she looked sooo crosseyed...

I also loled at the point where they just sort of slid her onto the table to chop her head off.

Yeah the ending was very sudden, but I guess thats how they did it back then.

    Recently:

    Little Miss Sunshine
Royal Tenenbaums (first time seeing this, it's amazing).
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (like 12th time seeing this, still love it).

Recently watched Glory Road. A great movie IMO, lots of touching moments.

POSSIBLY going to see 28 Weeks Later when it comes out in a month or two :) considering 28 Days Later was a great movie (and didn't get the publicity it deserved) mostly because it's different.

yeah, 28 Weeks Later sounds great... I can't wait to see it.

In order from most recent to least:
The Pursuit of Happyness - Pretty good
    Groundhog Day - A classic
Talladega Nights - Not as good as I'd hoped, but still not bad.
It's a Wonderful Life - My first time seeing it. It was quite good, despite what I thought was a "meh" beginning. And now I can understand all the cultural references. Yay!
The Good Shepherd - Long, boring, and a little hard to follow, but still not a terrible film.

And I'll probably be going to see Pan's Labyrinth tomorrow evening. I'd insert the little party smiley, but all that stuff still doesn't work for me. Nevertheless, I'm very excited to see it.

I've seen quite a few movies over the break... so here they are, from my least favorite to favorite:

We Are Marshall- I suppose it was a good movie, but it was just so predictable and the emotional high points were mostly at the beginning. They didn't treat the story as well as they could have.

Night At The Museum- Slightly boring, slightly funny, slightly charming. Good for the family.

The Good Shepherd- This was a huge letdown to me. Way to go, De Niro, for making the CIA seem as boring and unhuman as possible. Angelina Jolie and Tammy Blanchard redeemed it... if just a little.

Deja Vu- great action thriller... one of the most creative car chases you'll ever see, though the ending didn't exactly make complete sense to me. Still, quite enjoyable.

Dreamgirls- not in the same league as Chicago due to some unmemorable music, but it was still a very effective film. Jennifer Hudson is a STAR. Her performance of "And I Am Telling You" is probably my favorite scene from any movie I've ever seen. Beyonce also has a showstopper near the end, but I couldn't help but wonder how much better it would be if Hudson was singing. I should also mention Eddie Murphy and Anika Rose for doing a good job in their roles.

The Pursuit Of Happyness- such a sad movie, but very moving and inspiring. Will Smith and his son are OUTSTANDING. Both deserve awards, in my opinion.
