Elephant, the one by Van Sant? A bunch of kids from my school were in that. What pricks that movie made out of them, you don't want to know. -

Yeah, I guess so--it was an HBO special that came out on DVD. That's cool, but then not. I hate success related pride..Elephant, the one by Van Sant? A bunch of kids from my school were in that. What pricks that movie made out of them, you don't want to know.

The Producers- 7.5/10
This is one of the FUNNIEST movies I have seen in a LONG time... classic Mel Brooks, and even comparable to the original. The only thing that lets it down is that it still seems so... staged, like they taped the one on Broadway. Even the office is filmed like a sitcom set... but still, very funny. Great performances all around. -

Taking Lives is one of the worst films i've ever seen lol. Entertaining I suppose, but only cos it was so bad. -

The Weather Man--3/10
Got some laughs, but it wasn't good at all.
I promised a friend to watch The Graduate and Virgin Suicides, so they'll be next. -

I saw King Kong in theatres last week, and watched the Sin City and 40 Year Old Virgin DVDs this last weekend. -

I've actually been seeing quite a few actually. A lot that I'd never seen and everyone else had, so that's cool.
Um...
The Producers (funny, but only if you've seen the original)
Supertroopers (fucking hilarious, duh)
Sin City (loved it, although like everyone else, I tried to string the stories together and failed)
Out Cold (hilarious as well)
Old School (also hilarious)
The end. -

the last movie is saw was "dominion: prequel to the exorcist". i'm thinking of seeing the other one they made, too.
this particular prequel was rather awesome. it certainly had it's flaws, a lot of them, actually, including ones which would ruin other movies, but it's the only film i've seen which deals with satan seriously, and handles christian morality accurately, and it really moved me. it is not, however, a horror film.
but, as i said, there are a lot of flaws. the special effects were horrible, the art direction was rather laughable at times, the acting was often flat, and i'm not sure if i would have found it too "preachy" if i disagreed with it's idealogy, but it certainly is a possibility.
still, just for the impact it had on me, i'd give it an +8.
how does the other exorcist prequal compare to this? i assume it actually is a "horror" movie, and that's why they released it instead of this one, but is it "better"? -

Dude, can you get an STD from a polar bear?
And of course, the classic
Uh...skateboarding accident...truck accident...fire hydrant.
oooh, I bet each and every one has its own fascinating story.
No, I skateboarded off a truck into a fire hydrant.Edited by Micool, 03 January 2006 - 06:55 PM.
