Lady in the Water looks pretty good. But I'm just big Shamaylan(sp?) fan.
Anyway, I saw a leaked video on the internet of Spiderman 3, and I'm not sure if it's the same trailer, but they don't really show much for me to say it looks awesome. All I really remember was Topher Grace saying "...Parker?". Yeah, great advertising. -

that's what i saw.
I thought you saw this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0017136/ (Maybe in a Retro Channel)
Anyway...it's a really sad movie IMO. (The anime one) -

The two I've seen recently:
Sketchs of Frank Gehry
The focus was on Frank Gehry, not his buildings so much. There were a lot of questions about inspiration, critics, home life and that sort of thing. Sydney Pollak did get into the process of how he goes about designing which is weird stuff as he sits in a chair and dictates to someone to cut pieces of paper. It was good, very interesting, but I would have preferred a larger focus on the buildings and not on him. Recommended.
The World's Fastest Indian
Anthony Hopkins did a superb job in this film about a New Zealander and his journey and attempt at breaking the world land speed record for a motorcycle. Despite a slow start, it was quite enjoyable. Recommended. -

I've seen two movies in the past week. A new record for me I think.
Cars is just amazing. I love Pixar. They get better with every movie. They bring everything to the table with each production; great characterization, great special effects, good humor and solid storylines. Highly recommended
Superman Returns was watchable and quite enjoyable. Although I found it extremely long (2hr 34min) with some really slow parts, I still would give it a thumbs up. I really enjoyed all the action sequences, especially the airplane scene. They seemed to stay true to original story for the most part, which also helped. The casting was certainly good. The portrayal of Clark Kent/SM (Brandon Routh or whatever his name is) was good choice imo. That guy looks a ton like Christopher Reeve, which to me, was very important. While Kevin Spacey was great, I wasn't totally fond of his silly portrayal of Lex Luther. I would've preferred the serious got-to-kill-Superman role he had in the original series (I think Xcoaster hit on that too) -

Pixar will release Toy Story 3, in 2008. ...I love Pixar...all their movies are really enjoyable.
Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters, Inc. , Bugs, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles...those are great movies...
I haven't seen "Cars" yet, but I'll do it soon.Edited by RCFanB&M, 03 July 2006 - 10:47 AM.

I saw Superman Returns yesterday. I went into the theatre with low expectations because I wasn't really interested to begin with (my mom dragged me to see it), but I was proven wrong. It was a fantastic movie. And although it was a very long movie and I expected it to slow down, it didn't. It was one of the those movies I remember Corky describing...the ones where you don't really need to think too much but you stay interested. Or something like that. And why are you guys hating on Lex Luther? Kevin Spacey MADE this movie. He was hilarious. Without him there'd be no comic relief and the movie could actually slow down to what I anticipated.
PenguinBob, I'm looking forward to Pirates of the Carribean too. When's that come out? July 7th maybe?
EDIT: Just saw RCFan's post. Is it July 6th? -

I'm seeing one of the first Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest showings. I will see it the first time they show it in my state, maybe even country! Of course, other showings will take place at the same time, though. I can't wait!Edited by Gwazi, 03 July 2006 - 11:06 PM.

In celebration of our great nation and all it stands for one of my friends held a Team America viewing party the other night. That movie is brilliant. -
