[In a mass accent] "Cahhhhss"
I must say I wasn't expecting to like it because the trailer seemed quite weak, but Pixar definitely did it again. Great movie overall, Pixar movies are always awesome. -

I've seen two recently:
"The Pink Panther"
It was awful, and I was half expecting it to be. There was no plot, no humour, no nothing. Movies like this make me wonder why Hollywood keeps complaining about falling revenue.
"The Squid And The Whale"
A really interesting character study. The eldest son is exactly like his father and its interesting to see how he finally finds out that he is infact acting like his dad, and that he doesn't like it. He tried so hard to be an artsy teenager who's into quality music, well known authors but in reality he was just acting to please his father. In the end, you can feel him thinking 'I haven't accomplished anything.' The younger son is just, yikes. There aren't words to describe him. Recommended. -

The Pink Panther may very well be one of the worst movies ever made, but some parts were actually pretty funny. Maybe I was just in a good mood or something. Squid and the Whale was a good one, though. Do you know what was wrong with the younger son? He was pretty freaking strange. But it was good. Very good. -

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Both were quite good, though I preferred ROTJ (and just as in the Star Wars ROTJ, starring Mark Hamill as the J). Mostly because I prefer the more colorful, detailed, anime-esque animation style, the more grown-up-ness of it (it was PG-13), the larger cast of characters, the various homages, and just that I found the story more interesting. MOTP was also pretty good, and it captures the Batman atmosphere better with a more film noir feel, and a nice soundtrack, but a lot of it just felt sort of like watching an animated Batman Begins with a new love interest (which at it's time was probably okay, just now it's sort of "been there, done that"), and I felt the story was a little predictable. Also, I felt there should've been more of an emphasis on the Phantasm, as opposed to the Joker, as the Joker felt unnecessary to have it it and just sort of diluted the atmosphere. Still, both films were pretty good. They certainly did a better job than several of the big budget, live-action movies. -

CONTAIN SPOILERS
I saw Poseidon last weekend...It was ok, I just didn't like the fact that the main characters were like Aquaman, because, even if one of them died drowned, the rest could be a lot of time underwater...
...the movie is predictable.Edited by RCFanB&M, 23 June 2006 - 05:32 PM.

Finally got round to watching Zoolander last night. It was brilliant. Best gag was the unveiling of the model of the model school and Zoolander's response.
Thinking of watching either Monsters Inc., Ice Age 2 or Zatoichi tonight (spot the odd one out!) -

Just saw "The Dreams in the Witch House." An hour long adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's story, directed by the usual Stuart Gordon. It was alright, though I wish they would've done more interdimensional traveling, like in the story. It needed some Old Ones. Still fairly good though, possibly his most accurate adaptation so far, even if I prefer the lengthier "Dagon" and "Re-Animator." Haven't found "From Beyond" yet.
Now if only Guillermo del Toro would make "At the Mountains of Madness." -

I tried to watch Y Tu Mama Tambien but I need some subtitle program or something because I don't speak Spanish or whatever (it is Spanish, right? i'm so fucking crap at languages).
So instead I watched Gattaca, which was awesome.
