Right. So again, wouldn't one of the Forests have contracted AIDS, too?^ I dunno, maybe she contracted it much earlier and didn't know it? It was still a great movie, though.
It's just a lazy bit of writing that blemishes a great movie. And I get that they were trying to say that the AIDS epidemic was one of the major events of the 90's, and that's why they worked it in, it's just that it was impossible. I'm sure there's other completely illogical parts of the plot, too, but this is just the one that offends me the most. -

Not a movie, but I just saw Robin Williams' Weapons of Self Destruction. He's not my favorite comedian, but damn if what he said wasn't funny! -

I think she got it during her drug period. And neither one nor the other HAS to have it, if she does.
Just came back from watching Avatar 3-D... There's so much more than meets the eye... This is... a declaration of love to art itself. -

Saw "Sherlock Holmes" yesterday8 and was an enjoyable movie to watch. I would give it a B+. I will also add it to my movie collection when it comes out.
Also saw "Public Enemy" on DVD last night and was a bit disappointed in it. The Movie was far too long for the story line and seemed to drag on at the end. C+

Angels and Demons: Much better than Da Vinci Code, and I was entertained throughout as my AP Art History suddenly came back to me in one fell swoop. B+
Inglourious Basterds: Funny, entertaining, great story. Not as gory as I thought it would be. A -

Avatar was in a word orgasmic. Inglorious bastards....I liked it, but the portrayal of Hitler was....ingenuine somehow. The guy who did it in Valkyrie conveyed him much better in my opinion. Granted, it was a completely different type of movie, but I feel like it was a much better performance.
I'd have to agree on Public Enemies. You have two powerhouse actors, and the movie somehow goes nowhere? Usually when movies are that long, the story envelops you. This, not so much. -

I just found myself watching Kingda Ka rollbacks saying "You're not gonna make it jackass!!" -

Aside from RCT2, I've watched quite a few movies during this break.
Invictus - I've never been a big fan of sports movies not made for comedy, however I enjoyed this one pretty well.
Sherlock Holmes - Not sure how accurate this is to the classic writings, but entertaining nevertheless.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Trippin' drugs with Johnny Depp in Vegas. Enough said.
District 9 - Nice parallel between how the whites treat the aliens by segregating them and how they treated blacks in real life. A different kind of sci-fi movie that turned out great.
Inglorious Basterds - Brilliant...the ending was fucking epic!
The Big Lebowski - Interesting and humorous plot. Guess I need to see more Coen Brothers movies now.
Adventureland - Now I really want to go to Kennywood. Looks like a great little park. It's funny how the movie is set in 1987 and the opening shows a wide shot Phantom's Revenge, not built until 1991. -

^ I saw district 9 a while back, loved it. I can only hope for a sequel. And the big lebowski is one of the best movies ever made.
Saw avatar two days ago. Quite breathtaking stuff. They must have had so much fun when they made all the amazing animals and surroundings, must be a dream job. -

Saw "Up in the Air" with a friend of mine on New Years and it deserves all the hype it has been getting. Such a great film. -

God, I wanna see Avatar sooo bad!
Last movie I saw was Shrek. A classic movie with a lot of raunchy humor. The second movie was pretty good, too. But then they had to ruin it by making a third. And then they had to rape it by making a fourth. When will they learn that no subsequent movie will be as good as the first? -

There have been plenty of trilogies where the first film isn't the always the best. Lord of the Rings? Bourne series?
I could argue that I even like Return of the Jedi more than New Hope sometimes, but that is probably pushing it. -

^ My favorite Episodes in order of best to worst:
1. Episode V
2. Episode III
3. Episode IV
4. Episode VI
5. Episode I
6. Episode II
III and IV were about the same in terms of awesomeness, but I put III above IV because we get to see Anakin become Darth Vader, and that was pretty cool.
