Steve, where the heck did you find that avatar?
I'm really liking this thread. I don't usually look that much into a park, but after seeing all these small things, I might have to.Edited by MF72 , 25 August 2009 - 10:35 PM.

Okay, so here's few things that we [me/airtime] threw into our RR entry to capture the USA theme a bit.
the details inside the station include control panels
the Great American Casino, complete with slot machines.
The inside of the arcade.
Martha's as in Martha Washington, fyi.
And that's about it. Not everything's been included, but here's some of the best stuff imo. -

Nin how can you turn NCS into gold? I just don't understand. Spiderman should have had this stuff in it. -

And that is why I thought it should win. I don't think any of the other judges removed the roofs to check inside. -

Hadn't realized you guys did the interiors and the republican elephant is a nice touch. -

No I only did those two (the casino and arcade) but I spose I could have done the rest but ah well. -

Hi!
As nin did a little things on his park I thought it would be interesting to see one from its 'rival park' Floyd's family farm also.
The entrance area of the park. The carousel is peep-able (although not as good as I thought haha) and the entrance to Bounty hunter is a covered wagon. The raised fences in the area are chains of light. Also in the lower right corner you can see a climb the ladder game.
In this screen you can see the flags at the catwalks. I thought having too much of them in the park would be a bit over the top. Also the supports are just like those at Bounty hunter nearly completely custom made. The porch at the welcoming building of the park is raised for the peeps to walk on.
Here are some other games of the area. The ball pool for the kids at the far left, a ring-a-bell game themed to a totem and some skill games. Also notice the windmill at the bottom right of the screen.
And here's a very cozy section of the park with the eatery, the stage and the fireplace. Also the pony riding thingy is fully peep-able. Also I thought the power lines, the greenery and the addition to the farmhouse are nice touches.
I liked how the ride turned out. The snake head is a catchy landmark and I also like the layout of the ride with the working rounded loading station. I wanted to keep that as simple and clean as possible. Also notice the lockers in front of the queue and the mechanic device at the turnstile near the blacksmith building. In the fields you may notice the little scarecrow.
Sorry, I don't want to outshine the San Francisco Boardwalk, I just feel some people didn't look close enough to my park before they judged.
Hope you guys like it!

Yeah, FFF was clear winner in my book for many of the reasons you pointed out along with a few other things like the petting zoo and scarecrow -

Don't worry dave I do really like the park and did enjoy it, it was a tough decision between the two parks and I did just feel that the Boardwalk was a bit better and a little bit more inventive with architecture etc.
The little details you have just shown is why it was such a tough round compared to the others we've had this season.
Oh and I absolutely loved that hotdog stand, I knew I put it in the bench for a reason -

This kind of detail makes parks special to me, (Belmont Shores, Dimensions: Raelms of Craetoin and The Testament are good examples) so I was very proud I had so many in one of my own parks. I could've added more, but I had to draw a line before it was getting over-the-top.Edited by Liampie, 16 January 2010 - 10:03 AM.
