Damn, I really wanted to see England vs. Brazil. The only team left that I like is Italy, coz 25% of my family is from there. If the final is Germany vs. France a country I dislike is gone win no matter what

Today I went to Providence and on the way I passed another Jeep (like mine) with the top down, in it were four "Portugies" decked out in soccer gear and one held up a giant Portugal flag, screaming just for the fun of it. And the two girls in the Jeep were very attractive and one was wearing a Portugal flag tubetop, making up for the fact that 97% of Portuguese people are ugly. The end.

Eh, England played better maybe, but they weren;t as robbed as you claim X250. Rooney deserved the red. Perhaps you didn;t see, but he decided to see to it that the Portugese player could never have babies again, which is a definite red without a doubt. And both teams were diving all over the floor. It wasn't just the "Portugees". I'll ignore the rest of what you said X, cus I can relate to rants such as that, and I know the feeling.

Actually, the refereeing has been pretty horrible this entire World Cup. I don't watch soccer, but even I know a dive when I see one. Plus everyone in my office seems to be a soccer maniac, so I've picked up on things. I can definitely see how people would accuse the refs of fixing this Cup to increase the chances of getting the teams they want to win to actually win. It's like the NBA Finals refs had nothing to do so they decided to go to Germany.

Come on guys, England were never going to win the world cup. Now if Sven hadn't picked a 12 year old who never saw the pitch, or Jenas who is the most atrocious midfielder ever and also didn't see action, and had actually put some decent forwards in instead (Ashton, Bent) then we could have stuck with 4-4-2 - Lampard and Gerrard seemed to have finally developed an understanding just before it was changed - and not played a second striker in the lone striker role, which just got him annoyed and led to him shoving Ronaldo. I don't blame him, and it wasn't a red, but still when Crouch came on - someone who could play lone striker - you could see the difference as he was prepared to hold the ball up. We were never winning it with those tactics and that crappy uninspiring manager. I can't believe he treated it like "another game". Scolari knocked us out of the two previous tournaments - he should have used that to motivate the players not ignore them!

For me, this is mostly Sven's fault. Having said that, I do think the referee was having a laugh sending Rooney off. I'm not sure why Carragher had to retake his pen, and I'm also not sure why Crouch couldn't touch the ball without apparently fouling.

The sad thing is, there's not any realistic hope with McClaren taking over either.

Carragher had to retake his penalty because he took it before the ref blew the whistle to take it. Crouch isnt experienced enough it seems but he wasnt playing to badly i suppose. And how cna you say that about your own country.

I don't think you guys have played any American sports. If you haven't, and have only "watched" them on tv, you haven't a word on if they are "sub-standard" or not.

It's too bad that we are a little more cultured to try 99% of the sports out there and don't just play one sport that the world has deemed "the best".
