That portugal game is another instance of just what i hate about footie.
There were minor flashes of brilliance in here but the rest was just a farce.
How did the player who through Deco to the floor not get a yellow? how did Figo not get a Red. The ref had no control at all.
Its interesting that Figo could of been banned if the ref hadnt given him a yellow for something he blatently didnt see anyway lol. (something about double jepody)
erm, were you watching? i believe van der vaart AND sneijder got yellow for pushing deco. And how the hell is it necessary for deco to touch heitinga after one hideous tackle?
i hope the world cup continues like this and people at the fifa wake up and make up something so that we can actually see some football again.. -

I heard that the record for bookings in a World Cup had already been broken before yesterday's matches!
I think France might upset Spain. I dunno. I'm looking forward to the match though - it should be pretty free-flowing and fast-paced and hyphenated. -

Even if i'm an arsenal fan i thought Henry was a cheating bastard tonight, and he played shite. -

Yep he sure did lol. A few fouls played in that game but i think they deserved the win. -

I'm actually backing Germany simply because they have the home crowd and seem to exceed expectations at world cup time...
The Brazil/Ghana game was really exciting. The Spain/France one had flashes of fun, but overall I found it a bit boring...and Henry clutching at his face - what a loser! -

Is it Argentina Vs Germany today? Damn, this world cup is going quick.. I expect Argentina to win, simply because they are i good form and the German defence is really, really poor at marking players, and the only way to beat Argentina is to deny them any space. I think i'm going to say 3-2 to Argentina.

Maybe, who knows...the match won't be defined until the last second. Argentina and Germany are tow similar teams. -

Ok...
Argentina lost...it's over for us...we can't do anything...
Anyway...Argentina and Germany played a great match, the best of the cup IMO...each team had their opportunities, and each one also scored 1 goal. (Set time).
I think that Argentina deserved the match, and I don't say that because I'm argentinian...
The referee was awful...I'm not going to mention all the situations that the referee ruined to the argentinian team...he CHEATED ($$$).
I think that, if Abbondanzieri hadn't gotten injured...Argentina would have won the match.
Anyways, some team had to win...this time was Germany...
I want your opinion please.Edited by RCFanB&M, 30 June 2006 - 12:36 PM.

Yea, Argentina got robbed as far as reffing is concerned, but unfortunately that has become the norm when playing the home team. It was a great game though, and Argentina showed that they are without a doubt better than their ranking says IMO. I hope Germany loses their next game, as I am tired of repeatedly being frustrated by seeing them getting all the calls. Still, they did play well, so congrats to them. -

Yeah...Germany also played well...but the feeling of knowing that they robbed us is so...horrible. When this happens, you feel really bad...
