Well its been a heck of a long time since this was last updated and since ive picked the project back up I thought id give a little progress report followed by a teaser sometime in the near future.
Rough percentages:
Port of Entry= 100%
Jurrasic Park= 75%
Marvel Mountain= 40%
Toon Island= 95%
??=2%
??=5%
??= 100%
Im thinking of re-touching up some of the park with some more modern techniques. It really needs bringing a little more into the future. I have a lot of free time on my hands now school finished so this will (hopefully) be finished towards the end of the summer. I can't let it reach the two year mark
As mentioned earlier, i'll post a new teaser very soon so watch this space. -

Good god, send it my way. I have a strange ability to save parks (Soul Calibur) that are close to just dieing unjustly.
Then again you have a very particular way about the way you build tyandor, so I'm not so sure I can really help you here...

It's still alive!
Heres that little teaser I promised you months back.
This is already existing work and is built in the Utopian Market area. It's supposed to be a take on the talking well in the Lost Continent. Once I've got the rest of the park finished im going to go over some of the older completed areas (such as this one) and update it a little.
Well thats all for now. All comments are appreciated.Edited by Loopy, 04 August 2007 - 03:46 PM.

What's the point of making those awnings so low to the ground? I never fully understood that.
Still, it looks fantastic. I love everything. -

^Yeah i have to agree with those awnings lol. Besides that everything is beautiful and in place.

The awnings are so low to the ground because they are made using boat hire stations with pathing going over the top of the water. This was the only real way of making them to be honest but I think I should be able to re-do them now using the codex and slightly lowered mini golf stations.
Thanks for the comments everyone. -

Loopy for parkmaker! I'm loving all the stuff you've been showing lately. Great work! -

That screen is pretty boreing imo. I am not really impressed by anything in it. The fountain is a good idea, but looks wrong with all the blocks at one angle. Im also with Steve on the awnings, but they could work if you use codex to bump them up to the third height.
Sorry, but I am still very much looking froward to the whole park and know that other areas are much more promising -

It isn't a qestion of doing it for a purpose, it's just that if people wanted canvas awnings in the pre-codex days they would do what he did; build a boat hire 1 unit below the path and then building a path over it so the station part is covered and only the canvas is left. I do agree that it never looked great though.
Maybe try using inverted monorail stations in place of the boat hire since it would be taller. I don't think just raising it with codex could work because the station would start to glitch with the path. Other than that it's a nice screen but nothing too special. Good to see this is still alive. -

yes.
i haven't played in too long so i don't quite remember, but aren't they supposed to be done with minigolf stations that have path hacked over them? ask ed about it, he won't have forgotten.
i like the stonework around the fountain, by the way. -

Problem with that is, if I remember correctly, you still see the base of the station and the path on it just turns into a single square. When I built this (which would have been well over a year ago now) this was the only way I knew how to make them. As I stated these will be changed and the areas will get a thorough going over once Ive finished the rest of the park.
Thanks for all the comments everyone. -

you mean a random height that's slightly off a natural height?
that's just wrong and ugly.
