(Archive) Advertising District / New landscape...LOL.

I've been fiddeling around with some new scenery and I thought of an idea, but I haven't gotten a super clear, pristine plan on it yet, so I'm still working with the land and pretheming crap.

Try and get rid of the black path under the entrance gates, other than that, keep building and try and show a little more "filled up" screens of your park, these screens are for the biggest part blank or simply empty

why does the path float above the arches?

One time, several months ago- yes, I think it was May, I considered being a landscape designer. My dad is a golfer, and I love him dearly, so I definitely thought on making a living with nature and mathematics, and one day, I would design a golf course especially for him. If I had naming rights, I would even name it after him. "Billigan's Course." Actually, his name isn't Billigan (it's Bill, or Billy), but he has a hat similar to that of Gilligan from Gilligan's Island, and several of his coworkers called him "Gilligan" one day at his work. It eventually evolved into "Billigan" as the news approached my family. Oh, we had such a laugh! And we do today, of my father, my Billigan.

But I digress.

OH, ok for one, umm to explain the arches, IDK how to get them "touching" cuz they just won't, this is mostly becuase I still refuse to use trainers as of this particular moment. That's mostly becuase I haven't had the time to actually go and d/l and install it at this time. I have though d/l custom theming as you can easily see. The landscape is just the thing im using for the base of the park that will lie on top of it. This is becuase it will be a large compact city with not many LARGe mountains. It will be rivers across the board and luxurious european/rennaissance kind of theming. That's why it's not the MOST interesting thing ever you know. I'm more into structures and coaster Layouts, I'm not horticulturalist or landscape engineer, but I have also seen better landscapes than this lol! It's just something for me to work with for the large city I'm putting on top. I'm trying to get started easy for me, cuz I'm a noob at these new methods of building. (this is becuase I usually pay A SHYT LOAD more time on the layout than theming, and have been making attempts at getting my theming a whole lot better, and this is my first try, with the whole entry way there and such.) But, that's an explanation to those things there....LOL. Nice joke with the NE Rulebook. LOL!!! wow..*sigh*

If it was a park it'd have ACTUAL PATHS, RIDES AND BUILDINGS.

This, however, doesn't.

Ummm...LOL is merely an expression not a way to be funny...not in my oppinion. That's just like a sum1 putting a smiley, it's an expression of what your feeling at the current moment. I laugh alot, so LOL is going to pop up alot in my messages, or certain emotions and such.

Here's some more pics of some theming going into this park, in which the landscape will be built upon...It's nothing much but it's a start. I'm currently still working on it, but it just needs the last finishing touches and I might add more flowers.

Stop making your screens so small. I cant see much in them.

Your architecture lacks any pleasing forms and has no pleasing detail to compliment it. Furthermore, your using some of the ugliest custom scenery, in my opinion anyways.

Suggestions...try building smaller structures, increase your detail with them, and then move up to larger structures. Don't build large structures so close together. Build something that could possibly have a purpose. Fix not only the floating path above the arches...fix the floating arches too and make them look like they could actually support something.

If you do any/all of that, then you might be on a start of something better.

ya i've begun checking out different kinds of theming from various users here on other sites. I'm just recreating them to check methods and different styles that most people use, then TRY to apply them in my own ideas.

Try to avoid a blocky look. Making large structures doesn't help a blocky feeling either.
