(Archive) Advertising District / The Revenge of Horus

Hi,
My name is Fabian, I’m 16 years old and I’m from Germany (old Europe).
This is my first Park here on NE, so I have fear…

Now the Park:
It’s a Pro Coaster with some other attractions.
It’s a kind of egyptian/eastern theming.
At first the train drive through some old ruins to get shoot into the “new world”.

Hey those screens aint bad, so relex... but if they did suck we'd feed you to this creature we have known as Turtleblob

I think German parkmakers are some of the best active RCT2 players atm.

While these screens are highly detailed and demonstrate some good 1/4-tile work, I find them stale, mostly because they don't get me excited about any refined type of theme. Everything is so uniform....similar foliage, building blocks, colors and textures throughout....yawn...

Keep at it tho. Lotsa skill shows here and looks like your having fun.

Revenge of Horus? It doesn't look Egyptian at all.

and they say I build a lot with Quarterblocks .
it looks very good to me, but the colors are a bit dull .
this is a very "static" park and maybe you can make it more attractive by using more kinds of colors and making youre foilage selection more daring .

Looks pretty nice so far. But it really isn't Egyptian-y.

you landscape like Kumba

Well, I, for one, love it! There's something so refreshing about it... I normally hate this "busy" style of architecture and landscaping but here it just works...

Kind of like a mix between ride6 and Kumba.

I don't build like that now tho... you'll see in my PT.. k no, in my solo that I have changed...

^Yours or this landscaping. Because if you're saying this looks like mine you clearly haven't viewed anything of mine since Sunburst Shores.

Oh and I like it. The architecture is really working and almost could be egyptian if I force it to. The landscaping and folidge however definenlty means that it could not be. The wooden land sides look quite awaful and those cyciad bushes (sp?) are doom to any park (why I've never really used them in quantity).

Well, anyway welcome. Sorry NE doesn't stand up to it's old rep of being such a mean place that breaks n00bies in by killing their egos through harsh language. Because really that made parkmakers out of people, fast.

Being your first park here at NE I don't blame you for being a little timid. But this really is a good park. Keep working at it.
