I want to post an image that would break all of your guy's little computers.
Also, I think Voldemorts character was quite well done. I think they could of strengthed his eyes, but other than that it was suberpb.bbbbpbpb. -

Haha. Nice one. Anyone catch the forked tongue?
edit: what do you expect? The movie was PG-13. -

So was Lord of the Rings and their creatures looked a helluva lot better.
Anyway, I guess I'll get used to it.
One of the reviews I read mentioned Voldemort was probably scarier when you couldn't actually see him, and I think I'm in that general sentiment at the moment. Hopefully, he can be more commanding next movie when they fight in the Hall of Mysteries. -

Gosh, that is going to be beyond awsome. Talk about the most anticipated movie duel ever! -

I personally feel that this movie was much better than the third one, at least in being true to the book (my family is huge on Harry Potter, my sister was almost crieng at the end of the third one they screwed it up so bad).
There was still quite a few problems with the movie no doubt, my main problem being with the maze. Who cares about a whole bunch of vicious hedges? I want to see some blast ended skrewts!!!!
As far as the romance goes, it wasn't very good... Hermoine jumping through the tent and hugging Harry before the first task? I mean, wtf? Also, it would have been nice if they included the Beaubaton instructer woman (cant remember the name at the sec...) getting angry at Hagrid when he brings up the subject of him being a half-giant. That plays a pretty big role in the 6th book when Hagrid and her go looking for the giants in the mountains
One other thing for the moment, and thats Rita Skeeter. She was very well done, but they forgot the fact that she was an unregistered animagus.
One last thing: The dursleys. I know that theyre not everyones favorite people, most definetley not so, but the scene in the book where the weasleys use floo powder to randomly show up in the dersleys living room was one of the funniest parts in the book. I was rather annoyed that they took that part out, but hey.
Okay... enough ranting for now. Yes, most of those were small insignificant details, but details are what make movies, books, and pretty much anything good. -

They had Grawp in the 5th book, and when we learn about Grawp we learn about what Hagrid and the Beauxbaton's (Pretty Wands) headmistresses did in the mountains. -

Also of course they're going to have to miss bits out. I think it's understandable to complain about cutting parts of the book, but then again you have to realise that they are pretty long books. If you thought the cuts on this one were bad, then be prepared for even more cuts in the the fifth one. -

okay, now im just confused... i thought that was the sixth book? or maybe im justing thinking everything one back... most likely that. (i just went and asked my family and cleared things up. yeah it was the fifth book.)
anywho, yes i know that they cant put every little thing in the movie, but it just could have been done better. at least, personally it could have.Edited by lizzard98, 26 November 2005 - 09:47 PM.

Newell said they removed everything which doesn't directly pretain to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, which is something I agree with.
