Dude, this affects me tremendously, because Eddie Guerrero was not only my favorite wrestler, he was a person I looked up to and respected greatly.

What? Oh. I just read Corky's post...

Can we not have a thread where someone doesn't ask a mindless question or say something idiotic? Actors are 'fake' if you're going to use that definition, yet many command respect. Ditto politicians. Come on, just think before you write something like that.

A debate on the merits of pro wrestling might be interesting but this isn't quite the place for it.

I would have banned you for two weeks, Metal, if you hadn't put that second post which allows me to give you the benefit of the doubt... but you are SO on a short leash. 8@

eddie was a great wrestler and will go down in history for that. if anyone watched WWE Raw it was very tense and sad for not only the crowd but the wrestlers them self. i cant belive that eddie past away and i hope the best to his family and friends. and what i comes down to is these men hate eachother in the show but when it all comes down to it they are family and love eachother alot. i mean to see people like my favorite wrestler kurt angle, HHH, and big show cry you know eddie was a great man and will always be rembered...love ya eddie "viva la rassa"

    Eddie Guerrero ~1967-2005~ R.I.P.

Its because you had to go and make a smart remark. His job is fake not the person.

Just in case you havent noticed this isnt your little spam forum.

Scripted. Trust me, there's not a lot that's fake in wrestling. Most of the moves still hurt. In fact, it's the bumps and bruises that you get in wrestling that drive a lot of wrestlers to painkillers and alcohol. They work five nights a week basically every week of the year, and if they miss work, there's this stigma that they'll get fired (at least when they're on the lower end of the ladder). So to get through it, they take stuff to ease the pain. And eventually, they get addicted.

Quite sad. One of the ugly truths of the business, unfortunately. But they do it because they have a passion for the business and love what they do. It's self sacrifice to the nth degree.

Corky, I know when they get hurt, it's real, but is it really necessary to bounce off the elastic bands surrounding the ring and run into their opponents arm?

Oh come on think for just a second - it's a show! It's entertainment! The people who like wrestling obviously expect that sort of charade.

i was saddened to hear the news of eddies death, it shows the punishment wrestling has on the body physically and mentally even if it is a show.

maybe he wasnt the perfect role model but he sets an example that there is hope for drug addicts.

brings back memorys of owen hart doesnt it :'(

Because this isn't the spam forum. If you want me to delete all your posts because they're not serious then all you need to do is ask.
