I enjoy building LL most, but I'm better in RCT2. Voted LL though, as I'll probably work on that more in the future than I will RCT2.

    RCT3 for me.
I don't play 2 or LL anymore. I feel the same way Mater Jay does...it bores me too much.

Does that mean we don't get POD :'(

Anyway the poll doesn't seem to reflect the advertising district... on the exception of rct3 though.

I voted 3, as that's all I have access to at the moment.

I'm tempted to add combinations of the two games (well, mostly because there would be some people who are undecided between LL and RCT 2).

    Ah well.

RCT3, although I am trying to get passed the clearances thing as that greatly hinders all my work.

Rct2. I've played all three, but I pretty much stopped with the first once the second came out (then I completely stopped once I couldn't get the first to even run anymore). I was really excited about the 3rd for a while, but it ended up just being disappointment after disappointment. In terms of the skill I have at each, the second is definitely my best, with LL being second the the third being last. It's funny though, I was actually starting to get decent with LL just before Rct2 came out. If I'd stuck with it, and left D-net earlier, I'd probably be a pretty good LL player by now.

    3.

But with 16 hour shooting days........I have no time for any games. :'(

    so sad.

rct2... LL seems kind of limiting now, and/or i'm too lazy to get it to work on my XP computer and/or can't hack well enmough with SoB to make decent parks in it.

rct3 would hold intirest except that it runs far too slowly on my computer for me to build more than one coaster at a time with anything else in the park. i.e. no theming can be placed or the fps drops to about .02

    none :'(

    rct 2 definitely
  • Guest_Hawk_%s's Photo
i play rct2, since LL just doesn't seem as to build stuff with, and i didn't buy rct3

I dont play it as much but i love rct2. everything is easier and more simpler then 3. but hey, gota love all the games...

The most interesting for me is ll. Its just that building in it these days is like speaking latin to a lot of people who, well, don't speak latin.

    Amen to that : )

    Yeah, LL for me.

LL isn't very exciting to me because you can't do anything worthwhile "out of the box", which ruins it for me these days.

RCT3 isn't very exciting to me because, frankly, it is awful in every way imaginable.

So, RCT2 it is, but only without custom scenery, and trainers, and such. I think they ruin it!

So you don't even use 0 clearance?

    RCT2. 'Nuff said.

Ruin what exactly? If it weren't for the custom objects the community would be pretty dead don't you think, because rct2 would be not much more than LL.
It gave the came a much needed spark and with the useful objects (like the Toon ones) you can create beautiful things and in a way the object limit is helping since you have to think about what to use and still to work with a somewhat limited palette. You can do great things with it.

Posix, I wouldn't worry to the extent that this topic might suggest about the number of LL-playing people. There are probably this number again that are lurking around (or at least I hope so). Also note that Week 1 of the failed H2H3 1/2 season saw 60 votes between two LL parks. This is a good cross section of NE, though.

LL players are an endangered species, it's true. :( I've always felt a sort of respect for the old game around the site, however, and conversely those who do not pay proper respect to it are criticized. And perhaps the rarer LL gets in terms of playing time, the more respect will be paid to achievements made in it. We'll have to see.

Personally I love LL, and most if not all of the best parks ever made are in it. If you don't have working LL with the DP then you're missing out on 95% of the best rct ever played. But in terms of playing I tend to get fusterated with LL because the level of detail I want to creat requires pretty much endless hacking so I become rather fusterate with the game after more than an hour per day. With rct2 I can't play for more than maybe an hour or 2 at a time anymore but I can do that 1-2 hours two three times a day so it comes to much more.

Basically I pretty much hate the 3rd version of the game because it seems more like Sim Coaster 2 than rct to me. There's a possibility that it will someday grow on me, but that day is still far off and coming slow.
