Stern's just trying to screw Cuban over. No way he could stand it if he had to hand him the trophy.

Miami's won two games almost by luck, one convincingly, and lost two convincingly. Even though Miami's up 3-2, I feel Dallas has played better.

    Laugh, but its probably true.

You know, I'd love to blame that last play on the refs w/ Stackhouse, but I'd sound like a soar loser. So, in my team's defeat, the Heat played a good series. Again, had it been another shot, things may have been different, but there's always next year, right? [/Cubs]
  • RMM%s's Photo
Yea I think the whole series was bull. The whole refs thing. They gave it to Miami. There was no way they'd give the trophy to Mark Cuban and the Mavs.
  • rK_%s's Photo
good game but with the calls they were thrown around game 6 and they just let that blatent foul go, kinda numb on the refs part if you ask me.

now its time for the heartbreak to start all over for us new englanders.

    Go Celtics!
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Wow, maybe this is how people felt for the other team when the Lakers were winning championships.

This series was pretty shady, especially if you're cynical, but Miami definitely played a great series.

Or rather Wade did, and Zo just blocked like 28,219 shots.

I didn't think Dirk's 5th foul was really a foul. Sort of a phantom call there, and of course, Stack's three attempt was definitely preceded by a foul. And HOW THE FUCK DID GARY PAYTON ACTUALLY WIN A TITLE?!?!?!?! But this might all be a moot point if Dallas didn't TURN THE BALL OVER NEAR THE END OF THE GAME.

Stern's probably laughing it up. Dallas will be back next year, though, and Miami's bad karma (see question 10) has to bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Congrats to Kumba and Miami, and maybe Iris (dunno if he was rooting only for the Mavs or for both).

 What a night, just recovering now...

Once again I was at American Airlines Arena (This time with my Dad) to watch the game. They had a watch party and it was only $5 to get in, and the place was packed! The fans were insane, not figuratively, literally! They would go insane over every shot, even in the first when we cut the lead to 12

Best thing about tix being so cheap is that everyone can afford one, the place was really just like a huge club and with no NBA supervision the fan cam was able to feature some fine chica (that’s Latin girls for you gringos) fans shaking there asses, that was icing on the cake. ;)

When the final buzzer went off the noise in there was thought the roof, I had a loud ringing in my ears pretty much all night. After the MVP award I made my way down to the st. On the way I was disappointed that all the fans were chanting was "let's go Heat", I tried to get a "We're #1" chant going, but to no avail. I was also a bit disappointed that there was no confetti or balloons in the arena after the win, not any in Dallas either.

So once I got to the st. (Biscayne Boulevard) I got myself a championship T-shirt, put it on then ran down the middle of the jammed street in between the cars screaming like a motorcycle or something. I was one of the few people to do that, but it felt great and I always wanted to do that. After that I got home and called some friends at 1am to make sure they were not sleeping, then I drove around honking my horn for about an hour, and I have never seen Miami more excited about a championship, the number of cars out was 2x more then when the Marlins or Hurricanes won it all. After that I stopped at a park to pop a few victory J's :D

The season has just been amazing and we got what we needed last night, a team effort, mainly with rebounds, if Shaq had one more point 4 of our guys would have had a double, double, I remember D Wade telling me that was the key to winning in the finals and he was right. Haslem stepped up big time, witch was exactly what we needed, coz Wade had been doing it all himself and that can only last so long.

This Championship could not have gone to a better team. They are a really great organization and I was honored to be able to work with them a little this season (On articles for my nearby College's newspaper). The PR department was great and treated me like a "real" reporter and I got to meet Shaq once and D-Wade like two times, I chatted with both and they really are some nice people.

I think it's clear Wade is now the best player in the NBA, or at leased better then LeBron and has the potential to out-do MJ in the years to come. One of the best things about this win was seeing Zo out there, and owning too, with block after block, after all he has been throw it's great to see, it even brings a tear to my eye. GP got a title, finally, Shandon Anderson too, Walker, Williams, Shaq for the 4th time, just amazing to watch these guys get what they deserve.

I like the Mav's alot, the Heat are the only team I like more so I was hyped about this final. I hope they win one of these in the future, but I think lack of big game experience hurt them and made beating a team like the Heat very hard. And yes they did get a few bad calls, but so did we in game 6 with those two traveling calls.

Well Rhynos, Magnus and iris, better luck next year, but maybe do what Dirk does to relex and listen to some music by:

I am glad the Heat won. I thought it was funny when Shaq said that Pat Riley was his favorite coach. I bet it made Phil Mad. Anyways It was a good game and they were on top of the mavs and they did amazing job turning around in game 3.
  • Panic%s's Photo
About the refs and calls...remember that the Mavs made it to the finals in the first place because of a bad call. Duncan did get fouled on the last play of Game 7 regulation.

Worse. He said Pat Riley was the best coach he's ever had. Jackson got him three rings, while Riles has only gotten him one so far.

Well, all I know is that next year, if Wade is in the Finals, you'll see me with this sign:

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Knicks fire Larry Brown, and Isaiah Thomas will replace him as coach. This should be CLASSIC next season.

How mad was Fatha in response to Houston's actions tonight at the draft? (they drafted Rudy Gay, traded him to Memphis for Shane Battier, then drafted some dude I don't know, but who shares the same last name as a friend in high school who was a teammate in 10th grade on the JV baseball team)?

deathbystyle (11:52:01 PM): i just know when i heard the news, exacto knives went flying
deathbystyle (11:52:08 PM): i was mad

    Best. Analogy. Ever.

The Bulls did the best imo, Carney at 16 was a steal. Next year I think they will be in the top 4 or 5 in the East.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
If Lamarcus Williams gets his fat ass into shape, he'll be the steal of the draft IMO.

    IF.

Well, with the first day of free agency talks in the books, the Lakers have swiped Vladimir Radmanovic from the Clippers, Peja is going to the Hornets, and Jason Terry will resign with the Mavs.

Good move by the Lakers to get a new Vlad. He's a pretty good shooter and plays well, and should provide a good complement to Odom/Parker/Kwame in the rotation. Here's hoping he keeps up the solid play over the years.
