Wow. How the hell did that happen...
WTF Wilcox was traded? GAYYYYY.
Miss one day of Sports news and all hell breaks loose... Valentine's night pretty much sucked then... other than Mae rocking like none other @ Chain.
At least they're against the Warriors next... if they don't win that... then.... it may start to truely look like the Clippers of the Past. -

I've seen second graders play better defense and show harder rebounding than the Lakers displayed tonight in blowing a 15 point first half lead and giving the game to the lowly Atlanta Hawks.
Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Couple that with shooting like 30 threes against the HAWKS (hello, how about some dribble penetration) and missed free throws, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Absolutely atrocious. That was just sickening. -

ROCKETS GOT OWNED ALL NIGHT. ALL. NIGHT.
I wish the Suns kept pounding them... they only scored like 9 points in the last 9 minutes. I hate when teams do that. -

I have one thing to say to that:
OW!!
They led by 47 at one point. Does this mean the Suns would have beaten the Clips by 80? -

I missed most of the dunk contest because my girlfriend was here and she isn't into basketball.
I saw the final, though, and that was sweet. Nate Robinson don't fuck. -

You missed Iguadala's amazing alley oop off the BACK of the backboard into a half windmill under the rim into a reverse dunk. Best dunk of the night and one of the best I've ever seen period.
But Nate... man. I knew the guy could hop, but I didn't think he could jump THAT high. People that short aren't meant to jump that high. And yes, I'm jealous. His dunk over Spudd and that crazy double between the legs dump alley oop off the backboard into a dunk were crazy, and even his "routine" between the legs dunk was amazing because you don't expect a guy that short to be able to both jump that high and hang in the air that long. I remember marking out when Kobe did that years ago. Never did I think a 5'7" guard could do it too.
I rooted for AI, but I'm not disappointed Nate won. I just wish Josh Smith had actually tried to dunk from that tape that he marked on his first try. Major disappointment there for going with the almost free throw dunk instead. He wins this year's Chris "Birdman" Anderson award for biggest goof of the contest. -

Why do guys still think the in-between the legs dunk is an esay perfect score? That's why he lost, but yeah that shit off the back of the backboard was the dunk of the night and maybe my second fav ever. -

Whoa, Clips almost upset the Mavs, who scored only 12 pts in the 4th to nearly blow the game.
Meanwhile, the Lakers actually FINISHED a game and blew the Blazers out. -

Houston rules!
(any teams that whips the Clips does in my book... at least for the night)
Also, the Knicks got Francis from Orlando in exchange for Penny Hardaway (who goes back "home") and Trevor Ariza. I was shocked that Isaiah Thomas didn't include Nate Robison or Channing Frye, since, you know, he sucks at trading.
However, the Knicks now have Jalen Rose, Stephon Marbury, and Steve Francis on one team. Expanding on what DJ Gallo said yesterday, we might see the first three man jump ball with all three guys being from the same team for the first time in NBA history. Three me-first guys on one team. Wow. This should be interesting. -

I don't see how getting Francis was a bad move. It's not like they were in the right direction before, and it's not like they gave up ANYTHING. Penny and Ariza?
Also, Igoudala got robbed in the dunk contest. The only impressive thing Nate Robinson did IMO was the jump over Spud Webb, and even that was overrated. Webb is 5'6-5'7. Since when is that very hard to jump over? I knew how high Nate Robinson could jump before this, so I really wasn't impressed. I knew what to expect, whereas I guess a lot people didn't know? Either way, the two best dunks in the contest came from AI. The back of the backboard dunk and the bounce behind the back both were twice as good as anything Nate did. To be perfectly honest, I don't think Robinson should have even made the finals, cause Warrick did pretty well in the opening round. Just a gimmick win further proving how lost the dunk contest is IMO.
And was anyone else bored to tears when Flip continuously played the 4 Pistons in the all-star game? -

I wasn't. I just wanted to see Avery counter with the five seven footers in the first half.
And getting Francis is a great move on paper, but trust me, something will fuck up. -

I just don't see how going for Francis is really going to help them. The last thing the Knicks need is another big ego to clash with that of Isiah's. This trade, to me, reeked of desperation-move status. It's like they're throwing in the towel, like Isiah has no idea what else to do, so what has he got to lose? While that's true, I can't help but think it means that he has no idea what he's doing in the first place. -

Kobe Bryant was selected as the 2008 USA Men's Basketball Olympic team today.
