Clippers held onto a lead tonight against the Celtics, in Boston, to come out with a must-win... win. Boston got within 3 points with around 6 minutes left but the final 5 were all Clippers with them pulling ahead with a huge lead, final score being 98-81.
Elton Brand scored at least 30 points again, to keep his hot streak going. Great win for them overall, especially on the road... since the last time they faced the Celtics they got owned on their own home court (the Clips).
The win brings them back to 1.5 games behind PHX for First Place in the Pacific Division. -

Mavs:
37-10, First, Southwest
(now could someone explain why they are first. mavs and spurs are both 37-10. What do i have to look at next?)
Still i'm not sure if i want it like this for the playoffs. they would have to play the lakers if it stays like this and the last games against them could have been better.
Also i don't get why Avery still plays Diop in the starting five and gives Damp more minutes.
Damp and Diop are tied at rebonds per minutes the last games and Dampier makes more points. So he should be the starter. -

For the first time in team history (Clippers name wise), they've gotten to 11 games over .500 at 28-17. So rad...
Up next is a game @ Madison Square Garden against the hopeless Knicks... followed by Detroit at Detroit. Can't. Wait. -

I think the Spurs have a better head to head record against the Mavs. That's the next tiebreaker at least. -

Ahh.... as bad as the Lakers might get sometimes, I can still look at this season and go, "At least we're not the Rockets." -

Yeah, that would've been a pretty sad loss...
Speakin of those... Clips lost. But it's not like I was expecting them to win... even with that nice 8 point cushin heading into the second and when they caught them later in the 3rd. Oh well... next three games at home look pretty easy. -

See, the Lakers SHOULD have had the same road trip the Clips had, but we lost to Charlotte and New Orleans and got blown out by an Indiana team that was pretty much crippled. -

Told you they were damn good. Dirk got snubbed for a starting spot in the all-star game.
Speaking of snubs...Gilbert Arenas averages 28.2 PPG and can't get on the team? -

You can't complain about being snubbed for starters, because most fans vote for their favorite players, not the best. i.e. most fans are idiots. I mean, Yao was crippled half the season and still got in (mostly cuz of the Chinese vote, I'm sure).
And yeah, Arenas got jacked. Redd was left out too, but what are you gonna do when everyone (finally) loves the Pistons? Fortunately for Gilbert, he replaces Jermaine. Redd is still out.
And yeah, maybe the Mavs ARE the third best defensive team in the league if they hold Miami to like 76 points. -

Yea I remember every1 sayin that the Heat would kill the competition. Thats why they're 0 - 7 against the NBAs best. They havnt won a game against San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, or Detriot.
Just wait for Amare to get back to see a killing.Edited by RMM, 10 February 2006 - 11:22 PM.

Whew.... that was a close one... thank god they pulled it off at the end. EB scorin' big time with 44 points too aint too shabby (tying his record high when he did it the first and only other time, his rookie season when he was a Bull).
Still two behind PHX since they won tonight... -

Wade owned the Pistons, like Kobe style scoreing the last 17 fuckin points.
I bet he takes the top 3 plays on sportscenter tonight with that 360 layout, the sick ass and 1 over his sholder and no shit the buzzer beater takes #1 -

Ya know, they talk about it all the way from before the opening tipoff til the end of the game... the teams who you should be are the one's you should fear the most. This was true last night for the Clips, and of course they lost by 4. Meh.
