Thank God the Clippers got rid of the Kandi-Man... so overrated. We so got the better part of that deal (for Sam Cassell and I think someone else...) -

"The Boston Celtics have reportedly made a deal to send Ricky Davis, along with Marcus Banks, Mark Blount, Justin Reed and two future draft picks, to the Minnesota T-Wolves for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi and Dwayne Jones, according to an article in the Boston Herald."
...What the fuck?
Yeah, you got jipped. Can't wait for Bill Simmons' article.
As for the Lakers... they're 7th place in the West, aren't they? Quite far from actually "sucking."
And I don't think the Clips traded Kandi for Cassel... did they? I thought he signed as a free agent or something. Or if Clips traded him, it couldn't have been for Cassel... -

Well, for Boston, they do give up Ricky Davis for Wally World (which is bad) but on the other hand, they dump Mark Blount for an expiring contract and they get a first round draft pick from Minnesota which could likely be a lottery pick. So it's not all bad. -

Yea haha its too bad. I neva wouldve traded Ricky. Now you got Davis and Garnett. Wonder if thatd be any good. -

Here is the problem I see... Ricky Davis is our second best offensive guy and our best defensive guy! The latter part especially hurts, because the Celtics defense is a mess right now. The whole team is a mess.

Meanwhile, the Lakers tried to give the game away, but since it was the Warriors, they won anyway, because they were out-collapsed by Golden State.
Actually, we basically played our worst third quarter of the season, which necessitated the comeback. -

Iris is gonna love this.

So, less than one year after he singlehanded set basketball for white guys back twenty years with his horrendously hilarious performance at the Dunk Contest at the All-Star game (8 tries to complete his first dunk), Chris Anderson has been dismissed from the NBA for violating its drug policy. He's gone for at least two years.
Maybe he felt he had to take drugs to improve his game after the performance. Maybe he wants to annihilate everything good associated with white basketball. Maybe he's just crazy.
In any case, one of my favorite players to bash is no longer with the NBA.

It wasn't the Heat that "owned" the Clippers. That was anything but an ownage anyways, losing by only four.. Heat got help from the ref's like this was a baseball playoff game. Seriously.... Heat got soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many calls there way while the Clippers kept getting nothing called and when they were being called, it was on them (wtf, that was not charging at the end).Edited by The Beta Factor, 31 January 2006 - 11:16 AM.

I coulda made complaints like that when the Lakers blew their game at Miami.
But I didn't.
Clips blew it. So deal with it. -

Wow, it was really nice to finally blow out (and I mean BLOW OUT) a team for once.
130-97, Lakers kill the Knicks. -

So, anyone hear anything from their local sports talk radio/TV that their local NBA team is interested in making a deal for Iverson before the deadline? Don't get me wrong, I love AI, but I heard recently on local sports talk radio here (which we have in spades in philly) that the other members of the Sixers are happier when hes not on the court cause they actually get the ball once in a while! -

Yeah it's been over the sport sites (espn, fox sports) for a couple days now... that'd be cool to see him go elsewhere. I guess him and C. Webb really don't like eachother. -

C Webb has been getting hsi share of shots too. But between him and AI, none of the young players are gettting a change to develop cause they arent getting the ball -

Well after that hiccup game, Elton Brand and the Clips pounced upon the Orlando Magic tonight with Brand scoring 35 points along Sam Cassell right behind him scoring 26. Great effort by them tonight by winning a game that they without a doubt had in the bag before the first quarter was over.
