heh, no one answered my question.
is there a way to change the clearances of objects that come with the game? paths, rides, scenery etc. -

Screens look extremely realistic to me, especially the one with the chain drive/gas cylinder, i never knew RCT3 went into such detail! Nice job from what i can see, if its anything like your RCT2 work, i am sure it will be spectacular.

You dont change clearances with the game, technically you just edit the option.txt file adding three lines that allow scenery & ride intersections, ride & ride intersections, ride/scenery & terrain intersections, and scenery & scenery intersections. basically, adding certain things in the file lets to build through anything and yet there are no glitches with the scenery and stuff. -

Master Jay, can you tell me exactly how you do that? that would be so helpful!
X250: Thanks but its mainly custom scenery that does the trick. -

Well, this is the best rct3 has ever looked imo. Might even install rct3 to have a look at this. -

Just edit the option.txt files located in the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\Atari\RCT3\
add the following lines:
AttractionSceneryAllowTerrainIntersect 1
AttractionSceneryAllowSceneryIntersect 1
TrackAllowSameTrackIntersect 1 -

there is a lot more you can add to manipulate the game, but those are the only ones i use basically. there are a few others here and there to skip the start screen and load stuff faster, and to get stuff i wouldnt get because of graphics. other than that, nothing else. there is a whole list at the atari website forums somewhere. probably gotta search. -

i remember looking at that list, but when i looked they didn't have the scenerytoscenery one, which makes the game loads better. back when i played everything had to be put together oddly because of the clearances. -

i like those screens, it reminds me of a tropical theme park, which is a good thing. it's good to know that you can edit the clearances in RCT3 now, that will defenitely open lots of cool possibilities, if only they can fix that FPS lag problem -

Well my system is a beast so i dont have a lag problem lol.
Thanks MJ i will try that tonight and get back to you guys.

Junya, I wasn't able to get the scenery intersectiopn thing to work. Theoretically shouldn't I be able to have scenery buit on the same time? Like tow trees in the same place?
If it wouldn't be too much trouble coul;d you send me your options fiole?
Edit: I was browsing the Atari site and I came across a post that said this isn't possible? You would have to edit all the scenery to not have collison detection. -

You do that in the options/txt files. It's something like Scenery Allow Scenery Intersect 1.....or something...check the forums. -

i know the updates of Wild and Soaked got rid of the option for some appearent reason. they edited a lot of things, like the terrain intersection with coasters, and such. there are very few items that still allow it to happen. trees and shrubs aren't one of them.Edited by Master Jay, 10 November 2005 - 10:40 PM.

From what i see you didnt over do it with your coaster. I hate it some times when park makers want to make these huge coasters; most of the time they look way to big for the area. Your doing a good job with you scenery and layout. keep it going.
im pretty sure im not the only one but it seems harder to make a good looking park with looks of scenery in rct3 then rct2...thats what i think.
