General Chat / Serenity (The Movie)

Just saw this yesterday... some funny bits, action scenes were amazing (especially when River goes haywire, that shit was intense). Thought it was funny that Steve the Pirate was there.





What does everybody else think of the movie?

should I even see it? I don't usually bother with sci fi TV series as they are dorky as hell, but I have heard good things about firefly atleast... I still don't know if I should see the movie. Is it accessable even if you haven't watched the series?

I've never even heard of the series, so I guess so. It took a little for me to get the entire idea with what's going on (who's who, the plot, etc.), I still ended up enjoying it.

they advertise the movie as next generation Sci_fi movie, but after seeing the trailer am not quite sure is that good

If was about an 8/10. I saw it and to me it was missing just a bit from taking it to the next level. Still, very good though. And no, you don;t have to have even heard of the show to watch the movie.
