omg, i thought it was hilarious. i love the prompts they give us. celebrity admiration? come on.

Um. Mine was about success in life.

Not that it really matters--colleges aren't really paying a great deal of attention to the writing section.

^ Actually they are depending on what colleges you're looking at. But most of the science/math oriented ones aren't nearly as much.

I'm not worried. I breezed through them today. Found time to take a powernap after one of the sections. I don't give a shit anymore.

And I was pissed, there was an awesome XC meet today that I had to miss because of this fucking waste of time test.

i really hate how the logical grammatical corrections are not listed, that is what i hate the most.

That doesn't bother me so much. I am good at writing with good grammar even though I speak with terrible grammar.

The math part wasn't so good, though. I started and I realized, shit, I haven't had a math course since January, and the only math I've done since then is when I took SATs in May. So I probably bombed that part. But I don't care. Mr. Guidance Counselor already told me I'll get into every college I'm applying to.

i took them last march and june and got good enough grades not to take them again today (thank god, waking up early on weekends suck). the march essay was fucking impossible, i got a 5 (yes, out of 12) but went up to a 7 on june which still isnt that good but i also went up on the other sections so my overall score was pretty good. im just happy i never have to take them again.
  • JBruckner%s's Photo
i got a 12 on the essay in march, but the prompt wasn't so bad, "do we put too much value onpractical skillz, etc."
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
If you can get a 12 on the essay than I don't see why the grammar questions would be difficult to you?

they are not difficult. i do not write in the same why the fucktards who make the test do. maybe you can see why i fucking hate the grammar.
p.s. if you know how to write the essays it really is not hard. fake facts and a fake quote by someone famous works.

I found the grammar section to usually be the easiest part of the test. Some shit just doesn't sound right at all. Fix it. Simple.

On another note, I can't believe I'm discussing SATs like this with someone, and it's kind of making me sad.

what is sad is that you are not out on a saturday night. :(
yet, i am home also. i should of taken a nap this afternoon so i could go out tonight.
    SAT leaches life.

    Out at 12:30 am?
I do not party that hard. :(

I did take a nap from 2-6, but I still feel like shit. I was invited to go see the band 'State Radio' in Providence, but Dispatch sucked and as such I expect any offshoot of that band to suck as well.

I took it today. It gave me a headache and I slept all day today...

And what I hate about the test is their focus on english related sections. Theres like 3 math sections and 7 english sections. I don't care if they are writing or reading it's still english.
  • JBruckner%s's Photo
less math more vocab. who the fuck cares though? i never have to take this shit again.

yeah i know what you mean. possibly one of the absolute worst things in life is when youre taking the SATs, you turn the page and there is a full page, two column passage about the most boring thing there is to write about. i do enjoy doing the math sections though.

but one thing i love is before starting, the proctor reads "if you chose to not finish the exam, please give it to the proctor and he will destroy the paper"
  • Turtleman%s's Photo
Yeah i guess. I have to take the gay SAT II again since I bombed that because I took an english test where I didn't even take the damn class yet.
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
I wanted to just get up and run out of the cafeteria I was taking the test in with 'test booklet' in hand, just to see what would happen. You know, alarms going off, SAT agents chasing me down, snipers shooting at me, all hell could break loose.
  • Turtleman%s's Photo
It's so retarded how they make a huge deal about that stuff. My proctor spent like half an hour reading the bullshit. And then you have to copy a fucking statement in cursive which I never do so I don't remember how to write in cursive really. It's fucking stupid as hell.
  • JBruckner%s's Photo
i really detest how seriously those proctors take the test. the bitch that was watching me walked around all the time checking IDs. gah, i wanted to slap her in the face.

i have had these dreams about proctors who help kids cheats tremendously, that would be so awsome. total anarchy.
