Alright, I can't remember who won last year, but I do know that I sucked in baseball, so I want to redeem myself in basketball.
I've set up a league that currently has 12 spots... hopefully we can get a good year, instead of four committed guys and six guys who never check it again (like usual ).
LEAGUE NAME: New Element
LEAGUE ID#: 68468
PASSWORD: nedesigns
LEAGUE TYPE: Head to Head
DRAFT TYPE: LIVE Online
DRAFT DATE & TIME: Saturday October 29, 2005 at 9:45 AM Pacific = 12:45 PM Eastern
Here's to a great season! -

Hummm, I sorta want to, but I got a few questions...
Is all you need to do draft players and see how they do for the season, or is other stuff involved?
Can you trade? -

LMAO. Where the **** did that come from?
Kumba: It's like controlling your team. You can trade, drop players, and add free agents. You also need to set your lineup everyday, just like an actual team. If you leave it as is, then you might have players playing but on your bench (and therefore their stats don't count) while players who are not playing are starting for you (and you get no stats because there are none).
Even though you need to update the rosters daily, you can really just set it for like the next week and leave it alone if you want to. If you're into it, then go ahead and do it daily.
It's a LIVE DRAFT, so be sure you're there, or prerank your players if you can't make it. You need JAVA to run the draft applet though. -

I won the Yahoo public league I played in last year. The year before I also finished first (and second in a different league). It'll be nice to get some better competition! -

I'm in.
The Celtics aren't gonna win a damn thing this year, so maybe this will keep my interest held in basketball. -

So... since the forums went down, I moved the Live Draft to NEXT SATURDAY, October 29, at 10:15 AM Pacific 1:15 PM Eastern time.
Also, we need one or three more teams. Basically an odd number, because we only have seven teams signed up, and I'm not going to run a league with an odd number of teams. That's just lame.
Thanks! -

I'll sign up
but i won't be able to be online for the live draft.
also it's the first time i play such a game, but who cares.
edit:
signed up
how many players would you rank if you are not online for the draft? -
Corkscrewed Offline
If you want to really cover all bases, I'd do 200. You could prolly get away with 100... I preranked like 120 of mine. -

Thanks
and guess who will be ranked no 1
if you don't know, just look at the team name -

I'm thinking about doing this. I don't want to do it though if it's going to screw up the teams. Do I need to find someone else to join too?
