General Chat / NE Fantasy NBA on Yahoo 2005-06

prolly a glitch or server update. this afternoon, "gmail.com" wasn't working either... you had to do it the traditional gmail.google.com way.

I just fucked over my whole season.

I "accidentally" forgot to un-bench 3 of my best players before Friday night, so I lost out on 69 team hoops (plus some other good numbers) which ulimately cost me a guaranteed 2nd place finish. Not to mention I lost to corky, who I had my sights on all season.

Inferno Man & I ended in a 4-4 tie, and Yahoo's rules are:

"In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock will be broken using the following system:

1. Most team points scored.
2. Most team rebounds.
3. Highest team field goal percentage.
4. Highest team free throw percentage.
5. Fewest team turnovers.
6. Most team 3-point shots made.
7. Most team assists.
8. Most team steals.
9. Most team blocked shots.
10. Random "coin flip." "

So essentially, my entire season came to a measley 4 hoops!
And I could've added 69 team points on Friday!!!!

Oh well. Congrats Infernoman, you lucky, LUCKY bastard...

My opponent in my other league did the same thing... left some guys on the bench. I ended up winning because of that. Kind of sucky to win that way but I'll take it.

LOL. yeah, hence I ALWAYS check my teams.

Anyway, I somehow went from being down 4-5 against Jelly going into Sunday to winning 6-3 against him. Definitely a surprise for me, since I didn't project such a large turnaround. I'm happy with it though! Into the finals in both my H2H leagues!

Just thought I'd drop by to see if there was any talk going on, and to let you guys know that I do actually exist. I was also in the Baseball league last year, if anyone remembers.

Oh, so that's what happened. I actually thought I had lost, so I didn't even check Yahoo for a couple of days afterward...That sucks, but I don't know how else it could have easily been settled. :/

Do you even update? Just wondering. I hardly ever see you on NE, so I really have no way of knowing. Hope I can pull it out... it's frustrating because the stats I'm losing on (pts, rebounds, assists) are the ones I traditionally dominate.

Yup, I update pretty often. Every other day or so. Though I'm not sure why...
Just checked Yahoo and...somehow you were able to jump ahead, 6-2.
And the last games of the season are tonight, so it should be very interesting...

Literally down to the wire.

I'm in a dog fight in another league too.... except basically, my opponent is treating me like a dog and beating the shit out of me. He's really good at micromanaging, though, so yeah.

Wow, that was VERY down to the wire! By the slimmest of all margins, I was able to hold off Infernoman.

Final Placings:
1. Corkscrewed
2. Infernoman
3. Jellybones (wtf?! )

Hey. I know damn well what I'm doing. Go wtf yourself.

Yeah, Jelly didn't beat me by much, but I guess that doesn't matter....

I'm still kicking myself for letting Infernoman beat me in the first round of the playoffs...that never should have happened.

Fun season though. I'll probably play next year if theres a league.
