RCT Discussion / How did you hear about NE?

I heard about it through a topic at Danimation... I remember stumbling upon UIX before the site opened. In fact... I remember there being a topic in the AD at Danimation about wanting the best of the best for a new site similar to another back then... I forget the name of that site though.

Anyone else remember that site?

Fuck! I know what your talking about, it was called 5 Flags or something along those lines, and was very similar to NE, albiet not as good, but it had some rocking parks in construction!

Who was the first person here? I can only think of iris as the oldest person here, but he's only the 7 oldest.

probably from either rct2/rctstation forums or from the offical list at rollercoastertycoon2.com

I heard about it from Danimation, not too long after it was first created, in I guess once of those ads or something, but I can't remember that well.

Did you know that the first time Iris asked me to join his Parkmakers and be a part of this site, I was like "no thanks, I don't want to join a club"?



Then I saw the roster and reconsidered.


Anyway, I've been here since the beginning. RCT skill pretty much emigrated en masse from Danimation to here once Dan go ban-happy. Makeveli and Marx... good times.


And yeah, I remember when Evil WME was just "Way More Excitement." Took a while for the "Evil" to sink in.

I was one of the first parkmakers....good times....

if i remember correctly, a bunch of cocky bastards stopped submitting things to the newly-formed TN shortly after the death of thrillride.com , saying they were moving on to better things like NE. Bunch of Young upstarts! everyone knew that NE was just a stupid little fansite, thrillride(now TN) was forever! Of course TN died, and NE become populated with a lot of cocky bastards who were also godly in the RCT mad skillz department. i grew intrigued as more and more people left TN, and followed. the end.

I must be one of the only people here who heard about this site from RCT Fusion... Too bad the site is actually off the internet now, because I wanted those parks.

i was like 13 years old, and was searching the internet for theme park recreations.
i came across an IOA rec here, but to my disappointment it was LL, and i only had rct2.

i stuck around for a while, then forgot about it.
then last year i found the game, got really bored, and started playing it.
then i remembered, whoaa i remember this sick rct site with a bunch of cool stuff. i wonder if its still around??
