Ask the Experts / rct2 not working dam it...

To start off, rct2 does not run on my computer, and it should (As far as system requirement stuffs are concerned). I have no clue why. It used too, a long time ago, but it does no longer.

If I put in the cd, the autolaunch comes up with the option play, not install. If I click play, it says there was an error launching the game. So, I exit autolaunch and go to setup, try and install it manually. instead of installing, it says uninstall. If I try to uninstall, it starts to uninstall and immediatley finishes (Check for saved games/not not matter). Nothing has changed since uninstall.

Also, LL doesn't work either. It installs and uninstalls fine, but when I try to play, I get an error trapper. Yet RCT original runs fine.

Also, Add/Remove programs RCT2 shows up, even though its not installed. If I try removing, it just goes back to setup and fails to uninstall.

Anyone got any clue whats wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I could always go downstairs to play it, but thats my dads comp. And he gets snippy when I use it. Also I'm to lazy to go down the stairs.
