I'm so glad I don't pay for the gas in the Explorer. It gets about 17 miles to the gallon with all wheel drive. -

Seriously? 17mpg isn't bad for all wheel drive. What year model is it?I'm so glad I don't pay for the gas in the Explorer. It gets about 17 miles to the gallon with all wheel drive.
Yeah, that too.this is why i carpool with friends and exploit them for their gas money.
One of my friends drives a 92 Dodge Dynasty that gets about 30mpg. He does all the long-distance driving.
The longest trip I've ever gone one way in my Jeep? 18 miles, and that was just last Sunday. Strange, I know, but Jeeps aren't really roadtrip vehicles. -

Haha, I feel like an ass travelling 700+ miles just to see friends. Although, I suppose it'd be different if I had to pay all of the gas money I had paid with (I used my credit card which my ma pays for, the rest [so she wouldnt freak that I went so far away alone] was out of my checking funds [my money]). -

so ure saying you can only buy cars in america that have a 7l engine just so it can use more fuel?cos everytime ive been (3 times) and rented a car max its been has been a 2l salloon not some huge pointless jeep with fixed 4wd.People with ATV really piss me off.I hope fuel runs out soon so people realise what assholes they are being by wasting it so freely.Find me a fuel-efficient car.
Or buy me a fuel-efficient car.
Or find real public transit in the suburbs.
America is not Europe. Things are different here.
Although I still believe that MPG restrictions should be put into place--no reason any vehicle in 2WD, even a Hummer or Expedition or whatever stupid tank people are driving should get anything under 20mpg. -

What the fuck, man. I'm not saying that. I agree with you, I believe we do need to invest in alternative fuels, and I think gas guzzling SUVs are the dumbest shit. Some SUVs are necessary, though. Anyone who drives an H2 or an Escalade, though, those are useless. But in some areas, people need SUVs in the winter to get around.
And your wish for us to run out of gas is pretty sadistic. That would send an awful lot of people from the middle class into the lower class. -

ye i understand that, but the thousands of other people that dont need em shouldnt. As everyone already knows usa is the source of the fuel problems,i just think the country on a whole should be given something to encourage them not to waste so much.Nothing personal or anything but if theres isnt a massive shortage no one will give a fuck and just keep on using, america being the biggest users.but in some areas, people need SUVs in the winter to get around.
