(Archive) Advertising District / Virginia Falls

I've run into a mental block on Chasm City... it's getting difficult to work on new shit for it. So, I started this park... which is actually a park. For once.

Virgina Falls is my working title for the park... I have yet to be struck with inspiration for a name.

I assume you're going for a small, realistic park then? Those buildings give off a quaint sight, but the rooves need to be tweeked. Possibly a little railing or maybe just a different color. But at the same time, the colors work well for a small park. So, idk.

That name sounds really familiar to me. Didn't Mike Robbins or someone do a park called Virginia Falls?

it's nice. it looks like something. i can identify myself being in the situation to walk through the park. so your authentic level is high. impresses me.

The screens so far are neat and tidy, nice and realistic i guess.

Since when has it become cool to sow a bunch a lil ass screens of boring colorless buildings. Escpecially the first one... anybody can make that screen identicle in like 3 minutes. Its boring.

Show somethin worth while... these are lil ass screens of dull colored buildings. Its boring man. C'mon. Its like you built it just to show it to us. Build it for yourslef, not for us. I learned that far too late and it'll be easier to start now.

If ya build somethin for yourslef for a while, then advertise it'll work out much better. Trust me. Good luck.

Where are the rides?

Hah oh oh yea yea... right there behind that building.... oh darn. It was just another building.

Only I with my eagle-eye can spot the invisible 4D-multielement-hybrid-B&M/Intamin-crossover-giga in the second screen.

Oh I thought that 4D was gonna be inside that other building hes gonna show us in a bit...

The archy is way to simple for my likings.... not a bad start though

It's okay I guess. Kind of reminds me of RCT_Master's style of building. Simple and realistic without sacrificing decent quality.

Seriously, do you think I'm showing my best stuff yet? Architecture in RCT is not my forte, but IMO it's solid. I wouldn't be showing it otherwise. As for the lack of colors... I believe color looks best in smaller doses. In any case, while these buildings are individually unremarkable, they flow with the area's look and feel. You just can't see the forest for the tree in screenshots.

Besides, I happen to like realism. This is realism. All parks have entrance areas.

As for rides, people, they are coming. I build slowly. Sue me.

Thats cool. It aint about realism... I neva said it was. I like realism but you'll never see an amusement/theme park without rides. Its boring man. Spice it up a bit. Figure somethin out... there is potential there tho.
