I hope the people who were all like "TEXAS IS TEH R0X0RZ THEY KILL EVERYONE" will shut up now that they had to basically squeak by (the final score was nowhere near indicative of the game they played) Texas A&M, which was unranked, compared to USC barely beating a very underrated Fresno State team.

Stop making excuses and accept the fact that USC and Texas are both very vulnerable teams. Jesus, you're worse than a Yankee fan.

Dude... I know we're vulnerable. Our defense is quite subpar compared to average and our special teams suck. Period.

My wife is from Columbus and a huge OSU fan, so the Buckeyes have grown on me quite a bit in the last couple years.

Cork, USC will beat whoever they play, so no point in hoping for that.

My guess is OSU goes to the Fiesta Bowl to murder Notre Dame.

That'd be a good game... if the good ND shows up, it could be a classic.

I'm also hoping Oregon gets into the BCS, though I doubt it. They're not "exciting" enough, despite the fact that they've got a pretty darn good record. But I don't think they've beaten any media darlings, so yeah. Poor Ducks (only poor via Pac 10 comradery).

Anyway, it's Rivalry Week for USC, so I must say one thing:

That's what I'm afraid of. If UCLA truly sucks, then it'll be USC with like a 34-game winning streak. At that rate I think no team would ever be able to beat USC and we'd be talking about 50-game winning streaks (as long as Bush is around).

In any case, even after UCLA, Texas looms, and I have a feeling this matchup WILL meet the hype, because our defense (which catalyzed our 55-19 win vs Oklahoma) isn't as volatile. I'd love to continue to roll over everyone, but I doubt it'd happen against the Longhorns. However, I'd love nothing more than a 52-14 win against the Bruins though. Last year was too close.

Well I "kept up" with the winning streak anyway.

And nobody is sure yet that if USC loses they'll still go to the Rose Bowl. Just a matter of how far they move down.

Um... what do you mean by that last part, because if they lose the last game, they're definitely dropping below #2. The later in the season you lose a game, the worse of a chance you have in getting to the Title Game.

Wow, Fresno State lost AGAIN. Geez, what a season collapse. They haven't been the same since almost beating us.


And today is the Big Game. USC. UCLA. Will it be shootout, or will USC kill the Bruins by 6 TDs? We'll see, but I wouldn't mind running up the score on fUCLA.

Texas is KILLING Colorado 42-3, just a few seconds before halftime.

So much for any possible notion of a massive Texas collapse (not that I was expecting one; this Texas team ain't bad, that's for sure).

Gotta suck for Colorado: get to the Big 12 championship game like the past four years and get killed three out of four, or something like that.
