Saturday, Sept. 3. You know what that means? The College Football season is upon us! Superior than Pro Football, college football is a lot more fun to watch. BCS controversy notwithstanding.
Anyway, USC goes for its third consecutive national title, a feat never before done. Should be a great season. When you're the best, everyone will bring their A-game against you.
Current Rose Bowl Prediction: USC Trojans vs Texas Longhorns.

TCU 17
OU 10
(11 mins left in the 4th)
Looks like it could be quite an upset here between two potential schools for me... -

I'm pulling for that. I'm quite shocked myself that TCU is actually leading in the 4th. Didn't think they were that good. Or that OU was that bad.
Should be light for the Texas fans... maybe they'll finally beat OU this year! -

Oh Texas has a lock on the Big 12 this year, no doubt. OU just isnt that same, they have Peterson, but they just wont be able to put up the numbers they have the past two years.
I'm quite interested in College Football now, as its my first year (Texas Tech). We have an unusually easy non-conference schedule, should be huge blowouts considering how strong our offense always is. Depending on how OU recovers the rest of the season, Tech should be able to finish 2nd or 3rd in Big 12, our big game is against A&M.
Should be a fun year. I'm having a A&M/Clemson Party tonight (Obviously for Clemson).
Fun stuff. -

I'm at Univ of Texas @ Arlington (Dallas metro) and I'm gonna have to go with UT all the way. I'm realy psyched to see that Cork has even put them as one of the final two. +1500 points for Cork. GETCHA HORNS UP!!!
Athough I'll be rooting for the Hawkeyes as well, seeing as most of my family is from there. They weren't too bad 2 years ago. -

I cannot believe we just beat UAB by only 7 points. Hackney looked really good for UAB, and I'm hoping we were just looking past them or something. Ainge looked pretty rough, hopefully just first game jitters. Clausen was okay, got gipped on that INT. Our rush defense looked outstanding, and our pass defense was alright. Had some trouble on stop routes every now and then, and had some trouble bring Hackney down as well. Not the first game rollover I was expecting, and I'm hoping we can get going full throttle before Florida and LSU in the next two games.
Neyland Stadium is crazy, just started school at UT this fall, so excited about the free football tickets that students get. 30 rows up about the 20 yard line, we had amazing seats. Looking forward to the rest of this season, hope we get it together soon! We have a lot of potential, maybe even have what it takes to get to the championship game. We got a pretty tough schedule though -

wooo!!!!! U of Illinois just came back from 17 points down, held Rutgers scoreless in 2nd half, and won it in overtime today!!!
Doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment to beat Rutgers, but we're U of I, and it's good if we beat anyone in football. -

Oh my fricking gosh, what the heck happened to UW?!?!?! They had a fairly comfortable position ahead of Air Force with only two minutes left, and they f***ed up by letting AF get TWO touchdowns!!!!! GRRR...this year was supposed to show some promise compared to last year's dismal season. Yes, it's still early in the season, but this was supposed to be a GOOD opening for it. Bah...anyways, best of luck to everyone else's teams.

how about USC vs Ohio State in the Rose Bowl?
that would be sweet -

Yeah... since we'd kick the Buckeyes right back to Ohio. I mean, the last two times we've faced a Big 10 team in a Bowl game, it hasn't even been close.
Anyway, any worries about a letdown were averted when USC raped Hawaii in the second half and won 63-17. Which means we've outscored them like 249,593 - 67 in the six times we've played them in history. -

How about some love for the Falcons?? If our defense learned how to tackle we could hang with probably anybody offensively. Omar should definitely be a Heisman candidate. 29 for 50 (should be 29 for 46 with Sharon dropping 4 easy ones) and 5 TDs (6 if Sharon had hands) and 1 INT. Not bad. -

LOL... Kumba's gotta be kicking himself after last night. Miami gave the game away.

No, that would be the holder (or snapper too I guess) that "gave" it away...
I hoped we'd win, but had a gut feeling it was FSU's time to get one, still tho I was encourgaed at leased our QB got into it he mite end up pretty good, there's was horrible. -

yeah....i was fairly impressed by wright. he made some really good passes, but the recievers couldnt freaking catch the ball. and our line wasnt giving him hardly any protection at all. 9 flippin sacks... man...i almost cried...hester couldnt catch the ball either...let alone run one back... but moss was running hard all night. he did good untill he started cramping...but it was just mistake after mistake that did it for us. stupid penalties. but above all...Brian Monroe. the freakin worst punter (and ball holder)in hurricane history....and the stupid kicker who missed 3 field goals... man i wish my uncle, Danny Miller, was still there. he was kicker for the canes in the late 70's i think... Hall of famer too... there hasnt been a better cane kicker since then...
but anyways...as Kyle Wright said...``I don't mean to say anything bad about Florida State,'' ''But I don't think the better team won.'' -

Suddenly, USC's schedule doesn't look so easy!
Notre Dame stunned Michigan today, and even tho the Charlie Weis era is young, they look like they're not going to just lay down for the Trojans like they have the last few years.
Cal was good anyway, so they'll pose a challenge.
UCLA looks better than it has in years, which doesn't say much, but in addition to playing us tough, this year they have enough to pose some threat.
Arizona St. nearly beat LSU before blowing it in the 4th, but it looks like they got some talent.
And Fresno St. is in the top 25, so they're no pushovers either.
Oh, and Texas beat Ohio State. SA celebrates while the Buckeye fans are probably My friend at school was convinced that Texas was overrated and wouldn't beat OSU at home... looks like he was wrong.
