On Saturday, me, my mum, my dad and my brother went to Drayton Manor. We went on Saturday to avoid Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
Anyway, we set off at about 9.00 am in our Hymer Motorhome and got there for 11.30. We had to check onto the park because we were camping on site. So we actually got into the park for Midday. The first ride we went on was the Golden Nuggets shooting thing. I got a score of 30675. Then we headed down towards GForce and Shockwave, but stopped to ride the Rockin Tug. That was a good ride, I've always liked them.
We walked towards Maelstrom and I remember thinking to myself "Shit". It's huge! We walked straight past that without any temptation of going on it. I was heading for Shockwave now, but my mum and dad said that we should go on the River Rapids while the queue is short. That is one of the best River Rapids I have ever been on, didn't get wet enough though. My mum came of and was soaked for some reason.
The rest of my family decided to go on the Waltzer, I hate them, so I got my first ride on Shockwave. The queue was quite short, but the queue for the front seats was bigger, so I ended up on the last row. Its an amazing ride, and my first B&M rollercoaster where you have a floor. The Zero-G Roll was awesome. By the time I rode it twice, the other 3 had come off the waltzers (Thats how short the queue for Shockwave was). I have an on ride photo may be able to put up. #
Stormforce 10 had the longest queue in the park, we waited for an hour and a half, but its a good flume, the backwards drop is the best one, I got soaked. After that, we were quite hungry, so we headed over to the zoo, where they sold pizza! The cafe was nice, and the pizza was nicer.
Since the zoo was so close, we decided to dry off whilst looking at some animals, one thing I didn't like about this zoo is how small the enclosements were, if you look at places like Flamingo Land, they have reasonable sized enclosements, but Drayton Manor let theirself down there.
When we left the zoo, we went to see if GForce's queue had gone down yet, it had so I went to queue up for it whilst everyone else went to the kiddyland thing. I have to say that it is one of the weirdest queues I have ever seen. But it was moving quickly and I was on it in 10 minutes. When you sit it in, a big rubber strap comes round you and nothing holding you in from you head. The first drop is alot steeper than it looks and it hurt my head. When it was going up that lift hill thing, it feel so weird, I nearly slipped out of my seat. But from there on, It's a brilliant ride but it should be longer.
We headed to Apocalypse and Pandemonium next, I didn't dare go on Pandemonium, but I went on the Standing up side of Apocalypse, on the faster one of the two too. That was the best tower drop ride I have been on.
It was 6:10 when we got back to the campsite. It is the worst campsite I have ever been on, no electricity and there were bugs everywhere.
We woke up early the next morning so we could do the 4 hour drive up to Filey/Scarborough. We found a good campsite with electricity and went into Scarborough for a few hours. We spent the night in the campsite near Filey, then came home this morning.
All in all, it was a good trip, and I suggest Drayton Manor for a day out because it isn't busy and it has some good rides. -

Man you should have called me i would have come up, i live like 5mins from there!
Yeah Shockwave is an Intamin, just about. It has B&M track because it was built when Intamin merged from B&M into a seperate company, or thats how the legend goes...
You should have gone on Maelstrom, it is not half as bad as it looks.
