Com Lag is only available on import, but for about £10 still.

I went to this second hand cd shop in Sydney where they had all the singles/promos etc, but I was broke so couldn't buy any :(

Do you listen to anything that's not Jesus music?
  • penguinBOB%s's Photo

The first 20 on today's shuffle...

You should take a listen to Sufjan Steven's Seven Swans, anything by Pedro the Lion, Damien Juardo, or mewithoutYou. That's about the extent of my non-secular music.
  • Valp%s's Photo

Do you listen to anything that's not Jesus music?

    Look closely on the list...

Christian music makes up about 80% of what I listen to... the rest is either classical/choral or AI tracks...

I actually don't think I've heard of any of those, but I'll give them a listen... what specific tracks would you recommend?

    *

All the music I listen to I just get from word of mouth, camps, and the occasional concert. I don't listen to the radio.

    Lmao.
Out of interest, Valp, would you listen to an artist that is an atheist, or a different religion to Christianity?

I actually don't think I've heard of any of those, but I'll give them a listen... what specific tracks would you recommend?

mewithoutYou: Tie Me Up! Untie Me!, January 1979, Four Word Letter (Pt. 2)

Pedro the Lion: Indian Summer, Second Best, Simple Economics

Sufjan Stevens: To Be Alone With You, The Dress Looks Nice on You

    Damien Juardo: Ohio, Honey Baby

mewithoutYou is kind of odd, they talk-sing--it's really different from what you listen to. With Pedro the Lion, the singer questions his faith and one album is about a business man who kills his wife. For some reason it's still classified as Christian, kind of questionable, but I like it. Sujan Stevens is more plucky guitar and banjo than Damien Juardo, but both of them are folk.
  • JBruckner%s's Photo
sufjan stevens isn't really folk. more like retro burn god in hell! just kidding.
i never new SS was religious music, but then again i don't listen to music for lyrics.

Have you listened to Seven Swans? That's his only religious work, unless I'm missing something other than Michigan and Illinois. He was also a member of the Danielson Famille, the flipping weirdest and scariest christian band, ever. Daniel Smith is so... I dunno. There was a big article about this stuff in the Death Cab feature issue of Under the Radar or some magazine like that.
