LOL who wants to start it off.
There is a starting point for everyone and this isnt so bad.
A few tips of mine based on those screens:
The wooden coaster layout is not bad at all. But over to the right in the first screen i have no idea on how that little two tiles building thing is up there really. The architecture actually isnt too bad either despite them hedges in the buildings which have been used as walls. I will leave other tips for others to point out -

I think, bornagain, that it's actually better that you start with little to no custom scenery. Work without it for a while and try to get as close as you can to what you want to pull off. Then if you start using custom scenery, you may find that you have a better handle on refined use of it. -

I would recommend that you try to step away from the 1x1 paths and make them larger, even 2x2 or 3x3 would do. One thing I also niced that you could improve is your ride naming... I think you could maybe be a bit more creative than "Fast". I really like your wooden layout it is pretty good. The archy really isnt bad at all, sorta blocky and undetailed, but i am sure you will improve rapidly. The foliage is quite weak IMO, i am sure it would looks better if you added 1/4 flowers and 1/4 shrubs and trees. also in some spots it seems to clash also, like pinetree's and desert tree's, they really dont go togather well in my eyes. The supports on the coaster really would look better if you connected the two towers. The thing that i feel could use the most work, moreso anything is the park layout... i mean its seems cramped and awkward, possibly because of the small paths. Woah i sound mean and harsh, but honestly im not trying to be.
I see a lot of potential in you, it seems like you have some early fundamentals and building blocks of parkmaking down. -

I'm not too keen on the raised sidewinder and the long flat section on the bottom left of that woodie screen. But I do like the attempt at integrating with the landscape, and it does look like a monster. -

Custom scenery isn't necessary. One of the best RCT parks ever was created without custom scenery. Euroscape by Butterfinger.Well first you need to get some custom scenery.
This park should help you out. -

First of all, I think it's important that he knows what custom scenery actually is.
Ya know the objects in RCT2? Well, some heroes like ToonTower have made their own objects to go into the game. There is now much more room for realism, as when in the barebones game, there was no "Spanish Scenery" kit, there now is, because somebody unrelated to the company has made them for you already. Hope that helps you.
To get custom scenery, you should look for the NE Pro Tour Bench, as that probably has all you will need.
But having said that, you don't need Custom Scenery. You have to decide what you want out of the game. You can either play for Realism, or you can enjoy making new things without the aid of Custom Scenery, for an "old school" RCT Retro look. Your choice. You should probably experiment with both and see which you like best.
As for the most recent screen, the architectural improvement is massive. As others have said, avoid using single wide paths, nearly always use Double or more, and have small adjoining buildings to make bigger ones, rather than one huge block, as it is quite unexciting. Try adding ornaments to your buildings such as shrubs, balconies, pots etc. and makes sure that when you build your coasters that they are well planned out and you would see yourself enjoying riding it. Unless you're building a small park, parks should nearly always be divided up into sections, as they are in real life. Whether you are building a small or large park, pick a colour scheme to start with. What I normally do is pick three prominent colours, and one less prominent, and mix and match them. With flowers you can of course choose colours of the colour scheme, but hey, there are no rules, you should be the one making them for yourself if anything! Hope these "tips" help you carry on your parkmaking to a new level! -

This park should help you out.I know you don't need it. I'm just saying sometimes it helps alot.

Anyways, pretty good screen, BARCT. I noticed that you're using custom scenery, nice. However, sometimes custom scenery doesn't make for a good roof, like those steps. Maybe try some more of those non-custom roofs for those spaces.
Otherwise, good job.

Yes, but no-one listens to you machshit so someone had to say it again. And y do you feel the need to take credit for everything all the time? Just chill out with your annoying smilies.
RCT2 can just about deal with double wide/sometimes triple wide paths, so you can join those up. Some other techniques you could experiment with...
-put signs on your buildings so we know what they are!
-use a trainer to mow your grass, if you want it mown (8 cars is my choice for rct2 although some prefer son of beast - google them)
-adding detail - some prefer simplicity. But rct2 allows you to put 2 walls in the same place - and you can hack for even more if you want - so experiment and see what you think looks best.
-jagged land - see spotlights/runner-ups for examples.
Hope this helps. -

I don't think you need any help, because you're doing fine on your own. Possibly look at a few parks deemed as "good" here but don't let it ruin your way of playing the game. Trust me, we've got enough people that try and do everything the 'right' way. Probably after 3 years those people will understand there is no such thing as a right way anway.
What you might want to try is to think some stuff out a little more. Try and create a theme park like you'd want it to exist in real life, but don't overdo it. Try and add realistic touches everywhere, and other interesting details. Try and be self-critical of everything you build, probably the only 'skill' you really need to get anywhere other people define as 'good'.
And about that park, look at RoB by SACF. That has to be by far the best rct2 park out there, and especially if you want to look at some of the techniques used to make coasters flow and architecture look good.
Anyways, I hope you understand what I'm getting at. You can listen to Mach Chunk alongside basically everyone that posted above me all you want, but in my opinion that won't get you anywhere. (I'll have to make an exception for mantis, and hey, coincidal his post is by far the most postive of them all!) -

I was just stating that you can still make an excellent park without custom scenery and I gave him an example of one.
