But really Adix. What are you, nuts.
I mean. If it's your personal life that's the problem, what in Florida will magically fix the problems you had in Illinois, or wherever it is you're from? To go all the way there, thinking that happy-go-lucky magic Disney World will make your life better? Come on dude. Working for minimum wage to be harassed by 40,000 idiot tourists (only about half of which speak English)? Insane, man. You've got to figure out a better move than this. Leaving this stupid website-caretaking shit behind, that's fine. But changing everything in your life and moving across the country? That worries me, dude. You're too young to be having a mid-life crisis. Get your head together before you make any more stupid, rash decisions. -

^ Actually, Jelly brings up a good point. Sometimes, a change of scenery is all that's needed, but sometimes not. It's your life, and you're the one who controls it. I'm here anytime you want to talk, but I hope you can clear things up, get things fixed, and find direction. I wish you the best of luck with that, and in the mean time, hopefully the forums don't eff up.
I guess here's the part where I make the chapel-esque joke of Adix going to Florida for some butt secks with Iris.
Anyway, Andrew, take control of your life. You're doing that a bit by moving, but don't run away from your problems, whatever they are. You'll have to confront them sooner or later. Have fun at WDW (how'd you get a job there already?). I really need to visit that place sometimes.
And if worst comes to worst... NE becomes an HTML operated site. I guess this means we're taking apps for a new tech guy? -

Fuck, you are a PHP guru. With the right certification you could be making $80.00 an hour.
do what you enjoy, you have the talent, you are smart. -

If anyone is willing to help teach me PHP, I could lend a hand with the site.
I tried helping Adix once before. Didn't do much, but oh well... -

I will miss you for all the countless bans and unbans you gave me.
Oh and the time you spent like 5 hours teaching me how to use winhack. That was sweet. Thanks dude. -

In response to some....
Why? Because I have nothing to lose.
In essence, I'm a jobless leech on my parents, and I always sell myself short.
I've always thought it would be cool to work at Disney or Universal.
I have enough cash in the bank from when I was hit by a car that even if this fails, I'm no worse off.
I've been thinking lately that I really just need to move far away and start anew.
I have family down here if things get too messy.
This is my chance to counter a lot of my flaws by leaving behind all the things that molded me to the way I am.
Also, I haven't been on my computer since last week Wednesday night... I'm posting this from Florida, at the relatives. If anyone nearby Burlington (WI) or Orlando wants to see if a quick get-together / sendoff is possible, call me: 262-308-1902. I'm flying home tonight at 7:30 EST and I'm leaving Wisconsin (for good(?)) at ~6:00 CST Sunday night. -

I say go have an adventure Dixie! As you said, if it bombs, you're no worse off, plus you'll have an amazing story to tell. You will be missed. NE won't be the same without you (maybe quite literally if someone doesn't step up with the PHP).
Have a spectacular time in Orlando. Figure out what you really want to do and be....then go get it!
Cheers and Adieu,
Trixie -

And if all else fails, you can make a groundbreaking film about your exploits and call it Dairy State. Or whatever Wisconsin's nickname is.I say go have an adventure Dixie! Bump.
A friend (yes, really) found these posts when we were playing a game of "find the old internet identities." Reading the love and derision is truly a wonderful blast from the past.
That's not why I'm posting.
I'm posting because moving to Florida is above and beyond the best thing I've ever done with my life. I have a steady job, a family of friends, unlimited access to every theme park in Central Florida (Cast ID + Uni/Sea World Annual Pass) and even on the bad days, it's still a great time.
Therefore, I'm telling anyone here who needs it: go. uproot. change. dream. Be your best self, and if it comes down to it, go where you need to for it.
Andrew
P.S. A few other notes..
One, clearly NE has not doomsdayed. I'm proud of everyone involved in keeping her afloat these years.
Two, I've still never met iris... but I did meet Kumba.
Three, I still love you all.

Good to hear from you Adix! Glad everything is going well for you, and happy you enjoy working at Disney still
Would be funny if you had met one of the other Disney guys from here without realising haha
It would be good to see you pop in every now and then
