So.
As of the summer I have been going bowling two to three times per week.
A fun, cheap, and safe activity for all!
Who else here bowls? I know there must be other avid bowlers, here.
This is a picture of me bowling. -

I'm no avid bowler, but bowling is pretty damn fun. I wish I went more often myself. My top score is like 150-something, last time I went, which was like September. I was a monster that night. -

I bowl every weekend during school. Bowled a 290 one week, but another kid on the lane next to me bowled a 300 the same game...
My average last year was 186. -

Bowling is the shit. I hate candlepin though, because it's for pussies.
I play a lot though, because I get a free game everyday all summer.
Jelly, surely you've been to Jillians in Boston, yeah?
They got some awesome bowling in there. -

Bowling kicks ass. I go every Wednesday and Thursday because my local alley has a thing called Quartermania where you pay $5.00 and then everything is $.25 (shoe rental and every game). So I can bowl like 8 games and it'd only be $7.00. Gotta love that shit. My high score is a 184, which I haven't even come close to since. Bowling is one of the few things to do around here. -

Bowling can be cheap, if you go to cheap lanes. I personally love bowling myself, but rarely go. I did bowl a 205 once, which will never happen again. -

i doubt you'll find cheap lanes in germany. at least not where I live. Bowling can be great fun if you play it with friends.
i'm not that good, but that might be cause i'm not bowling very often. let's say twice per year -

Bowling is not cheap in the NW especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The per game rates are through the roof. Your best bet is before 5pm and Sun – Thurs after 9pm. Another way to lower the costs is to join a league. Most centers offer discounts to league bowlers
I have been bowling for nearly 25 years now and have made enough money from it to pay for itself by bowling in tournaments and leagues. Last season I bowled my 10th career 300 game while averaging in the low 220’s. My career high average is 233 and High 3-Game series is 854.
If I can share one bit of advice to all of you looking to improve, pick up your spares! Strikes will come with practice but spare shooting is vital to good scores. Take the time to master spare shooting and that discipline will help your accuracy for strikes.

I'm lucky to bowl a 150. I suck.
But then again I've bowled maybe 10 times in my 16 years so there you go.

During the school year I went with about 20 people every friday night to our Brunswick Zone for cosmic. We got quarter games and free shoes because we had a friend that worked there. Normally it would be $15 for 4 games. He quit, and almost all of us got summer jobs now to have money for college, so it's hard to get there anymore.
My highest is a 189. It'll probably never happen again. -

Actually, last Friday, I went by that place on the way to Fenway. Lucky Strike? Yeah, must be it, it was on Lansdowne, right next to Jillian's. It looked really cool...but there was a bouncer outside. I have never seen a bouncer outside a bowling alley before.Bowling is the shit. I hate candlepin though, because it's for pussies.
I play a lot though, because I get a free game everyday all summer.

I go to the cheap old lanes, the one I go to it's $1.75 per game. Yeah, pretty cheap. -

I must say, cosmic bowling is the shit. Especially since it's not supposed to be competitive like a regular game of bowling. Just pure fun.
