*sigh* I'm watching Live 8 and I can tell through the shitty filter of endless interviews and idiotic talking "pop culture" reporters that there is really some great music there. Shame that we're not allowed to watch it. We were only allowed to see Green Day do one song (American Idiot) and they edited all the "fuck"s out. I think the people at MTV and VH1 qualify as american idiots themselves. Why can't they just show the damn music like what they did with the first Live Aid!? I guess because talking is "cool" now and music is "out".

I mean they're letting us see 2 song every 1/2 hour and there are 9 fucking concerts all going on at the same time. I garentee there's a lot more music being played than THAT!!!!

Edit: Hmmm, wow, they just went to music out of a commercial break insted of 10 minutes of interviews and a 10 second clip of music at the end. Hopefully a sign of things to come?

Hey, their coverage is better than nothing, even if you only get one song per artist.

Also, most artists are only getting to perform three songs, because of the huge roster.

Damn announcers interupted the 2nd chorus of Comfortably Numb. And they cut the solo off about 10 seconds before the studio version (and I'm rather sure that since it was live they were doing an extended solo).

Oh well, at least we got 4 songs from the Floyd. I'm shaky just thinking about what I just witnessed.
