First day of play today, and I thought Safin looked excellent. I won't rule out Leyton Hewitt or Roger Federer, but Marit Safin is my tip for the title this year. -

Wow...Wimbledon's playing already?...Yet another reason I hate my school's schedule. Anyways...I really haven't been watching as much tennis lately as I used to. I probably cheer on Hewitt, but as I said I really haven't seen him playing recently. I only hope he's gotten his first serve percentage up since last year because it was really kind of pathetic for such a good, all around player, let alone, a pro.
Thanks for the heads up...maybe Safin will pull out a good win...it's been a long time since he's won one of the majors, hasn't it? I'll have to keep track of the goings on. -

Safin won't win. Sucks on grass. Hewiit is just came back from injury lose to Federer in semi if he makes it that far. Federer will win beating Roddick in the final. Roddick could lose in the second round cause he plays a tough big serving croat. Coasterfrk Safin won Australian Open this year.
Women's side. Sharapova has a easy draw. Most likely semi final. Henin hardeene will either win it all or lose in the quaterfinals. Both Williams sisters met in round 4. Serena has been injured for a couple of months and Venus lost pathetically to a 15 year at Roland Garros. Serena can make final but I doubt it. davenport faces Clijsters in round 4. Whoever wins that match will make the final. -

good analysis. i mostly agree to it.
wimbledon is, unlike roland garros, poorly broadcasted in germany, so i can't really watch it
i just hope neither hewitt nor roddick will get far. i can't stand them. bah.
sharapova would be fantastic though. -

I was at Wimbledon yesterday on No.1 Court and watched Hewiit beat whoever he was playing. I definetly don't think he has a chance of winning, the other guy was almost as good as him during open play and outclassed him with some shots but he couldn't break Hewiits serve so he lost.
I hope Shaporaova and Philipousis win although Philip... is unlikely.
I'm going again next Friday so I hope play gets delayed and we end up watching a semi-final or something. I think it will be the mixed doubles final if not which is entertaining at least. -

was looking forward to the mixed doubles; krajicek/krajicek . Though Michaëlla got injured, they're too much a like.
Mmm... really never know with these tournaments anymore. Its been like that since Sampras wasn't winning everything, i guess. Every player still in it has a chance, seriously. I like to watch Safin, and think Federer will have a good shot at the title. Maybe Ancic will be able to get somewhere since he won Rosmalen, dunno who won Queens. And women, i just hope some of the women/girls that look good get somewhere. =D. -

Themeparkmaster you are lucky you get to go to Wimbledon.
Too bad about Krajicek/Krajicek. They would have made a good team.
The play today was so good. Henin Hardenne upset. Serena almost upset. I'm so glad we are done with clay and onto grass. -

I am watching Sharapova right now...because, um, it's Sharapova. I don't really keep up with these tournaments anymore. Or any tennis for that matter. -

I like Henin - her backhand is lovely to watch...
My money's on Federer - he's the best player in the world. For the women's...I don't know, really. -

Is Rafael Nadal in this? If so, I am picking him to win on the men's side. And Sharapova for the women's. -

I don't see Karantacheva winning against Maria. Maria would have to be off her game. i'm surprised Germany doesn't get great coverage of Wimbledon considering how well Becker and graf did well for awhile at Wimbledon.[font="tahoma"]freak henin is out. i'm glad, really.

Nadal could make the semi since he has a easy draw. He isnt a grass court player as his spin doesnt do much damage. -

you can get it on pay tv only.
there's too little live footage to really make me happy.
and if then they only show those ridiculous new german players. one more boring than the other. ah well. -

we get it all here haha .
Rafael Nadal won't win wimbledon, no matter how good he spins that ball. Of course, i could be wrong. -
