pbj, usually it doesn't glitch if you put the object down, then the path.

In this case a few times I have put down the object, built the path still have it glitch, but then if you re-build the object back over the first it can show up right, but it may flicker a bit.

And I am pretty happy with how it looks now in that screen, but I think i'll add a large sign between the 2 planters on the edge.

    much better!!!
just a question, what is better? first a puth and than building with Zero Clearness or building the objects and then lay the path wit zero cleaness?

Well Kumba, think it looks very nice (like the old one better, but okay). Nice, not yet outstanding, but that will certainly come with all things that still have to be added, won't it ?

@ PBJ: if there are just 2 possibilities for a sequence, are you too lazy to both try them out yourself and just see which one works better ?? (so why ask?) :SA:

Looks much better now, though i think its weird how everything is so close to the edge of the map.

^it's not i think... just a pure photoshop trick... the black may be the edge or is just a part of this park that we aren't allowed to see...
  • Splash-0%s's Photo
Bit too brown IMO and I'm not really keen on that dark red either, but I love the 'little things' :)
  • Levis%s's Photo
yes this is a photoshop tric ;) , the black rct uses isn't pure black but a bit grey.
  • Akasha%s's Photo
In the above right corner, that's no photoshop trick. So it is close to the edge ;) . I really like the colour use, the red in the roofs and the flowers add more to it. And i just love those arches! Well done with those turnable fences and park maps inside. But the purple thing in the left looks weird  .

hmmm. Definitely mixed feelings on this screen. I love the minute details, such as the turnstiles, the custom railings and the walkway around the water in the upper left, but, as usual, I don't like the colors, especially the brown.

Good to see you still holdin' it down tho, darren.
  • Kumba%s's Photo
I used MS paint to do that with the line kinda tool, then I used a paint brush to color in the rest. I think I managed to stay in the lines well :)

And damn JKay, what colors do you like? :<img src=:' />

Good question Kumba. Difficult to answer, but I'll try.

I'm usually big on colors that complement a particular theme and/or add some sense of realism or atmosphere to an area . For example, in this screen, you have brown brick. To me, the brown brick just doesn't work here and just kills the atmosphere. I would expect to see brown brick in more of a traditional-type setting, such as a rustic, older amusement park and not really in a park called "Kumba's Creation". IMO, such a fresh creative park as this deserves more vibrant colors, although brick is a difficult texture to work with color-wise. Purple maybe?.. I dunno, i usually avoid brick but I know you love purple.

Moreover, I'm becoming less and less favorable of drab colors RCT has to offer, such as the dull red and green, which you have used a lot throughout this park and I see touches of in this screen. Those colors are just depressing to me. They really don't add any atmospheric value no matter how used and just give off a "sad" feeling imo.

Lastly, your windows. Brown windows set against brown brick = YUCK! I'd prefer to see a yellow or maybe even grey or white used for those windows to give some life to what lie inside those buildings. As they are, there is no contrast between the windows and the brown brick, which gives a "abandoned tenament" feel to it and just sucks the atmospheric life out of that screenshot.

    Anyway, hope that helps.

    KEEP THE COLORS! :D
  • Toon%s's Photo
I like it better. You know my reasons, but you do have to be true to yourself and your style. Also, keep in mind how this fits in with the cohesiveness of the whole park.

Im gona take adventage of being a Parkmaker and do a little screen-less update ;)

This park is really flying right now, I did the entire entrance area in about a week and it is probabply one of my best themes to date, its rare I build that fast and put out great stuff, but I was in a zone I guess. So the new entry area is complet.

Now I am about 65% done with the Dino Digs 2 and that also is moving very quickly with strong work.

Overall in about 5 days I think I got the park from 18% to 35% :D

My next updaet will be of Mt. Morbid in about a week to 10 days. After that I got 2 more areas, one will get an update will a screen, but as the park gets near being finished you will not see updates...

I don't think that's straight-up brown, it's more like the color of mud. Which is like brown but not exactly.

Either way you shouldn't change it, it looks good.

    (Wow, I've missed a lot, haven't I?)
