Wow! This is coming out to be excellent. I love it! Will you be doing anything with Mermaid Lagoon or the Arabian port? -

Arabian Coast: Yes. Mermaid Lagoon: Depends on the map data limit.Wow! This is coming out to be excellent. I love it! Will you be doing anything with Mermaid Lagoon or the Arabian port?
Thanks Turtle, OLE, and blah188.
Nope, not bored at all. My primary goal with every park I make is to create a truly immersive atmosphere that places my guests within the story being told. The attractions are really extensions of the story to further enchance the guest experience. The structures are truly that important. How can u sit and build building after building and not get bored? I really, really enjoy building structure after structure, however I also love doing the same thing for my attractions. BUT, the buildings come first. Not in a literal since, but in the order that I build my parks. You see, recreating structures is very difficult and sometimes impossible to do when you have an attraction winding in and out of it or inside of it. To simplify this, I construct my buildings first and then figure out a way to put the attraction in later. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't build any attractions because, as blah188 pointed out, I'm still in the scenario editor. This doesn't mean I haven't built any. I constantly leave the SE to test rides out in the park for various reasons: how the track/vehicles fit in with the surroundings; do the supports I built measure up to the ride track; colors; etc.
Rest assured, the attractions will come. But not now, and probably not for a good while.Edited by Iceman, 17 April 2006 - 02:12 AM.

Great stuff, as always. I really have nothing to comment on since the Viking screen is a work-in-progress. Nice idea BTW... -

Ya know Ice, I should apologize for totally forgetting about you when I posted that top non-parkmaker list. You totally should be in the top 5 somewhere. While I find most of your work either too repetitive or too "Disney" for my personal taste, your talent is undeniable. You're easily the best active Disney parkmaker right now (in RCT2 at least, I know meretrix is holding down RCT3)
Like I said before, I see this park as spotlight quality and can't wait for its completion. -

I was looking at the overview again and noticed that you demolished the bit of Atlantis you had built. -

Thanks, man. You sure know how to make a guy feel good about his work. And likewise on the best active thing, just not the Disney part. Have you considered making an Alice in Wonderland mini? I think that crazy, colorful style would fit your parkmaking perfectly. Just a suggestion, though.Ya know Ice, I should apologize for totally forgetting about you when I posted that top non-parkmaker list. You totally should be in the top 5 somewhere. I removed Atlantis to make room for the Norway/Viking area, but now that decision is being questioned. I really, really want an Atlantis attraction or area in the park.I was looking at the overview again and noticed that you demolished the bit of Atlantis you had built.

Finally, an update with a new port of DisneySea! Port Discovery is a scientific research facility of tomorrow. The two attractions here are StormRider, a weather simulator, and Aquatopia, a water version of Autopia utilizing the technology of Pooh's Hunny Hunt at Tokyo Disneyland. The second station of the DisneySea Electric Railway is hereas well. I would type more but I really don't feel like it right now. June's a pretty far ways off still so maybe I'll get to Lost River Delta by then.

Whoa. That is absolutely awesome and the best Disney work I've ever seen in terms of architecture.
