Any idea when my turn is, Ice?

Woah, woah, woah, I always build everything in the SE first.

For me, that's impossible. I need to have the coasters first or I feel lost... I tried once. Not pretty.

You are doing the OLC proud.

Now this is a fucking AMAZING park. Hence my happy birthday

DisneySea is getting closer and closer to completion everyday. Within the next month I'll begin placing the rides which is the last step before the touch-ups begin. I'm still not done with Arabian Coast however. The area has become such a pain in the ass that it almost burned me out on the park. However, I found a new area to play with, one that I was going to keep under wraps until the parks release, but it turned out too good for me to hide. The only thing left in this new area, titled Scandinavian Inlet, is the areas headliner, Gamlefjord (anyone who knows a bit of Norwegian, please feel free to correct that. It's supposed to translate to "Ancient Fjord").


This shout shows off Restaurant Akershus near the Gamlefjord entrance. It's pushed a little close to the map, but I'm very satisfied with the results.


Here we see part of the small, modern town at the head of the inlet. The town houses small eateries and unique shops. And no, I have no idea what those signs say. They were on some structures I used as inspiration so I thought it'd look good here.

Hopefully the next update will feature Mysterious Island. I dunno if I'll finish Arabian Coast yet or not, considering just looking at that area makes me dread going back. Once I have the rest of Gamlefjord's facade up, I'll start on MI. Till next update.

Nice. The waterfalls seem a bit blocky and unnatural, but the Disney atmosphere is still impressive.

I don't like the waterfall in the first screen. You could use more white water, and it looks like it would overflow onto the rocks.

In the second screen, that boat looks kinda odd, and the supports showing through aren't the best either (I know you can't really help that though).

Otherwise I really like it.

yeah, the waterfall seems kind of like an afterthought and kind of brings down the quality of that screen.

what's with the umbrella'd table-looking things? they appear massively out of scale. the waterfall could use improving, yes. also, the first screen retains some of the unnatural-ness brought by too much foreign-texture custom scenery. the bushes and land sloping to the water in the second screen need tweaking.
however;
the tower (square one) in screen one is very much a superb peice of work, as well as the building itself, espescially considering how squished up against the map edge it is. you're right to be proud of it. the fake rocks here are also used pretty well, aside from aforementioned waterfall overlap. The docks look pretty darn good, too, and the Norwegian Town buildings are very nice. they manage to use mostly the same texture and forms without becoming repetetive, though the red and green one could maybe use a tone-down. nice inclusion of little details in the boat and the crate and barrel between buildings, as well as the window balconies. looks to be a nice mix of snow and non-snow pines- nicely done. my only other quarrel is that the paths appear a bit narrow for the crowds you'd expect a disney park to handle.

the waterfall is indeed a bit blocky and the tables look a bit to large.
but overal it looks pretty nice .

The new screens look good. As has been said the waterfall doesn't look natural, and i think you should really make more of a center piece of it. I'm not too sure why people are complaining about the proportionallity of the tables in the second screen. Tables can be big, right?

Yes, there is a Maelstrom-inspired boat ride, but it's going to focus more on Vikings and legends rather than a tour of Norway. That's what Gamlefjord is to be. It's going to be the only ride in the park with show scenes, too.

Regarding the waterfalls, I see nothing wrong with them and find them very attractive. Not every waterfall in the world is elegant and graceful; some just plunge straight down. I sincerely like how this one turned out, simple as it is, and fully intend to keep it as is.

it's not necessarily unattractive, it just looks unplanned.

All looks FREAKIN GREAT but one question... are the peeps gonna be able to visit?
Ive been to the park and yours is looking good..... the only thing missing is the throngs of people to make it really true keep up the great work hope to see this finished really so or at least posted so that one can finish it. OH and can you post a version where the peeps can go to your park? Please please please Thankyou

No, peeps will not be able to visit the park. They can't get through the entry plaza much less Mediterranean Harbor. I've tried many times to steer them in the right direction, but nothing works. And I will finish this park, just not as soon as I thought. I've lost interest in RCT2 but still mess with DisneySea from time to time. Hopefully my trip to Disneyland in a few weeks will rekindle my drive to finish this park.

Yeah, my host deleted his website, so now I have to find a new one. I'll get around to getting the screens back up sometime soon.

Hurry! I really want to see this! I only saw the screen of part of a marina or something and it was REALLY good!
