Well I'm not familiar with Disney's full repertoire of rides across all their parks, so you won't catch any heat over that from me. And I think if Disney does not currently have an Atlantis ride in any of their parks, that it is something they would/should consider, beacuse it seems to fit in with the Disney "style", so good job on your ride selection! -

Guess this means I have a new de-WW job around may
de-WWíng should be a lot easier now with parkdat . -

de-WWíng should be a lot easier now with parkdat .
It only saves one step in the process, so I don't seeing it as that much easier and some object need to be identified anyway because two different object can have the same in-game name. And as far as Parkdat goes, I won't be using it mainly because it has been proven unreliable to me when building Nostalgia Vale. Also when de-ww-ing it's important to be precise because every object has to be replaced by it's de-ww-ed counterpart. The amount of objects doesn't help either.Edited by tyandor, 18 January 2007 - 01:31 PM.

Time for the February update. Not much has happend because I'm waitng on a guy to take some pictures of Tokyo DisneySea for me to fill in the gaps. The park WAS progressing rapidly until I got up to Open Sesame and ran out of photos. Anyway, the below photo is the area just south of Sinbad's Seven Voyages and is the start of the Agrabah Bazaar (to the lower right). The second screen is the park overview taken today, 2-2-07.

The guy should be going to TDS sometime next week, so the next update will definately be next month. That gives me plenty of time to get Arabian Coast done and start on Mysterious Island. -

I'm gonna guess the Arabian Coast is that giant sand square on the right? Yeah, work on that. Please... -

Looks like it's going to be just as awesome as your Disneyland Resort Ice, great work!
This is as close to the Disney atmosphere as you can be imo..
Now I really like to go to a Disney park! Luckily for me I'm heading to Disney Paris in 2 months

I think it's all excellent stuff, but you're doing the same thing you did in Disneyland, by adding meandering paths through a bunch of trees. Maybe you have plans for those areas, but I think going by the overview the park suffers from too much water/trees. Still, it's awesome. -

I am working on that. Thank you for giving me the push I need to go on.I'm gonna guess the Arabian Coast is that giant sand square on the right? Yeah, work on that. Please...
Funny thing is, that's not the original dome. The original dome is 25% larger. I'll only be using that piece once, though, and that's to top off the Caravan Carousel. That is one big dome.
Thanks, SF! Hope you have fun in Paris. I just paid off my trip to the original park in Anaheim. Now I just have to wait 6 months to finally go!Looks like it's going to be just as awesome as your Disneyland Resort Ice, great work!

You noticed that, huh? 2x2 was too big, and 1x1 was too small, so I had to compromise. I'm not happy with the amount of scenery required to build it, but I'm very satisfied with the results. That's a great atmosphere, even with the big shiny dome. Love the 1.5x1.5 towers.
Most of the park is going by photos of the real thing. Granted, areas I felt were too bare or open in the game got a healthy planting of trees slammed in the middle. The waterways are there for a reason: they're the path the DisneySea Transit Steamer must follow. The body of water in the southwest corner of the map was put there to reduce the number of trees needed to populate that part of the map, thus reducing the map data limit used. Glad to hear you still like it though.I think it's all excellent stuff, but you're doing the same thing you did in Disneyland, by adding meandering paths through a bunch of trees. Wow. You coulda fit a roller coaster in that original one or something...Funny thing is, that's not the original dome. The original dome is 25% larger. I'll only be using that piece once, though, and that's to top off the Caravan Carousel.

Very well done Iceman. You have the most accurate and realistic looking Disney park ever contructed as far as I know. You have certainly captured the appeal of a DisneySea. By the way, are you going to be building into Mermaid Lagoon. From what I can tell you are likely going into Mysterious Island next and then what? I think you would be able to do anything Disney. -

^Isn't that the Disney Sea Electric Railway?
Anyway, the overview shot looks promising. Can't wait to see the finished version! : ) -

Very nice...
You created such a pleasant atmosphere, the colors, the buildings, everything fits...except for that big dome, which isn't THAT out of place, but it doesn't fit at best. Anyway, I'd love to see this park completed, keep it up. -

I was going to do Mermaid Lagoon, but the way I built the park pushed the east side up against the edge of the map. Thus, Arabian Coast is closer to Mysterious Island than it should be, and that leaves no room for Mermaid Lagoon. I was really excited about doing ML and I had even done some architecture tests to see if I could do it. I wish there was a way to adjust the map dimensions opposite of what the game is allowing, but alas it's not possible.Very well done Iceman. Better get used to those domes, I'll be using them quite a bit in this area.Very nice...

I don't see what the deal is with the domes? They are the perfect piece to use and you'll no doubt use them well.
