i'd agree with you that the cloros seem off a little...
can't quite place it though.
maybe since the ride is really one building you should maintain the green/copper theme in that red section. -

When I first looked at that screen it was like "yeah ok, it's not brilliant" but every time I look it, my opinion of it changes...
Like now I think it's excellent. -

So I've been working on Indiana Jones all afternoon. I've pretty much got it done except for some fencing, trees, and aging of the structure. The entrance to the ride is near the bottom right corner of the shot. The show building is the part of the temple covered in a black roof. The Yucatan Base Camp restaurant is a little farther down. Not quite done with it yet.

Very nice Iceman! Everything looks like it would be a real Disney made Indiana Jones temple. My only objection is that you could have used a bit more custom scenery more than what came with one of the expansion packs. -

Why should that matter? I got the look I wanted with WW objects and thus I don't feel the need to use custom objects.Very nice Iceman! Nice work Ice and I'm glad to see this going again. What are you using for the actual attraction?

I'm probably going to use the Reverse Freefall coaster cars on a different track. One that can simulate the EMV cars movement. I'm not sure which track that is yet because I honestly haven't put much thought into it. -

I finished Lost River Delta today. Pictured below is a shot of the shanty town across the river from the Mayan temple that house the Indiana Jones Adventure. The water behind the town is what will be Mysterious Island. As of now I only have 2 sections left: Arabian Coast and Mysterious Island. If I have enough map data space, I will put in the Atlantis ride or the Tower of Terror. Bottom link is the bigger image.

I love everything except the roof going over the path. it's far too high when you consider how tall the peeps are.
Looks great though.

what's the gray building with yellow windows and the green roof? It doesn't seem to work with the rest of the picture (which is excellent, BTW) -

That particular shop is called Lost River Outfitters. It's the only "new" building in Lost River Delta and it fits in with the themeing. The story to Lost River Delta (LRD) is that Indiana Jones has discovered and begun exploring an ancient Mayan temple in the region. A shanty town pops up across the river to feed and supply those coming to explore the temple as well. As tourist begin to come, souvenir shops spring up in additon to what was there before. Tourists generally like "pretty" things so a shop in the tin wall fashion of the shanty town wouldn't cut it. Thus Lost River Outfitters is housed in a much nicer, cleaner establishment.
Does that help explain why it's there? -

This will be the last update for a while. The park is progressing rapidly with Lost River Delta being fully completed and Arabian Coast at 40% completion. The towers of Atlantis Rising are taking shape in a small cove of Mediterranean Harbor and next up is the final and most important area, Mysterious Island. If I keep going at this rate, the park could be done before May! Don't hold me to that though...
On to the update, the below is a shot of the facade for Sinbad's Seven Voyages in the Arabian Coast section. I'm not completely happy with it, but I feel it's the best I can do to bring the complex structure to RCT. Any suggestions to improve?

Next up we're back in Mediterranean Harbor, where Atlantis has begun to rise again. So far only the queue area and the southern section are done, and even those might have to be redone because I hit a pacing problem in the structure. The shot below is the queue area.

I'm not sure when the next update will be. As of right now, I may be doing Arabian Coast Lite since it's getting close to the Atlantis show building, but that's ok with me because all of those details are killing me! So look for Arabian Coast to be the star of the next update, and maybe even a little Mysterious Island (doubtful though). -

Those are some nice screens, especially the first with the incredible amount of detail. I don't have any suggestions for how to improve either screen and they both look good to me. -

I agree, both screens look good. The atmosphere in the first screen is just how I would expect it to be, i don't think you need more detail to be honest. The path looks a tiny bit thin in places, that's the only thing that comes to my attention.
Keep going, it's looking real nice! -

nix the blue rooves in the second screen....change them a brown color or faded red....that's really the only problem, it looks pretty good. -

When I heard "Atlantis" I thought "ancient ruins", but this works well too, if you are going for "Atlantis in its heyday". I think you have an issue with "thin walls" in the Atlantis screen where the grey path enters the 2 structures, though.
The Arabian screen looks great, I don't see anything you could improve upon, except the huge expanse of unbroken black roof, that is.
All in all, great work, though, keep it up! -

The part of the "Atlantis Rising" area you see is not Atlantis itself. That's the queue area and it's themed around a Greek fishing village on the edge of the newly risen city. The actual Atlantis structure won't look ruined at all, but as clean and beautiful as it did in it's glory days.
And... "Atlantis Rising" is actually a recreation of a non-Disney ride. I'm gonna catch a lot of heat for it but I love that ride and I wanted it in my park. Essentially because it's how I would picture the perfect Atlantis ride.Edited by Iceman, 16 January 2007 - 10:58 PM.
