News / No More Updates?

It's your site, but punishing all would be a mistake. I don't always get to post, cause i have very little time in the day to respond to everything. I will however try harder. I think that is all you can ask of other members too, is that they try. Make a condition, ban those who don't post more than once a week (may not work) it's worth a try. On the subject of RCT1 compared to RCT2. Half the fun of the original was watching people improve, if you think that we as park makers will just blow everyone away, then think again. It will take a month or so to get that good. I look forward to seeing what parkmakers have done in the remaining months of RCT1. The last hidden parks were spectacular! I know there are some good ones comming too. I say lets just move forward and keep the site going, and update when you get three pages of replys on the spotlight. I'm heading there now.

Good point there Iris...we need more peeps to get interested in the spots and runner ups and coster contests...i wouldve posted when "The List" update came aroudn...but the last time it was updated...i wasnt a member

sadly...RCT1 is fading...i hope it never does

RCT1 has so many options and so many that 2 doesnt have. Every1 says that they are getting ready for RCT2 or leaving RCT1 when in fact...most of them prolly SUCK at RCT2. They will spend the next 4 months trying to get up to NE material. I bet only about 4 members right now can say that they are really good at RCT2. Myself not included. I am quickly getting much better at RCT2 and i will post screens soon but since i am not that good et i will gain my skillz in RCT1. I just started a new RCT1 project. Why you ask? Becuz peeps will want to see it. anyone who uninstalled RCT1 is a fool and should reinstall it right now.

Last nite i talked to K-Man and he said that he hadnt played RCT1 since the day 2 came out. That is sad (no offense K-Man.) If you quit 1 and unistall it...it will take you longer to get better at 2. Yes u will get good cuz u wont try to resort to 1 but...RCT1 is much faster and you can broaden your skillz there too.

I hope i didnt offend anyone here but if i did...sorry but FUCK i mean...seriously...RCT1 was one of the most innovative games of all time. Yes RCT2 is good but 1 is better IMO and if it comes to it...I personally will never let it die.

If you ask me, taking away the messages wont help in the slightest... it will just get peeps bored with the site, and not make them want to post even MORE. Who really cares about the number of replies, as long as we are having fun? People do appreciate what you do iris... believe it or not , and just because they dont reply doesent mean they are getting lazy, its getting deep into the school year, most people dont have near as much time to hang around at NE like they did in, say, the summer months.

lol, im starting to think that ratting on everyone at NE is iris' way of letting off preassure on himself...... lol j/k

I never quit and uninstalled RCT 1, I just stopped playing it. Then started again once RCT 2 came out, so I'm working both with a total of 4 projects! w00t!

You know a webboard is running slow when the name 'Coaster Ed' shows up in the top 10 posters of the day list (which I don't remember seeing there before actually).

Oh c'mon! These forums don't really need that much modding anyway. We don't have the same level of immaturity at exists on D-Net, where you'll get flame broiled and toasted just for spelling "Xcelerator" wrong or for rooting for SFMM as opposed to CP (or vice versa).

The best workers do their actions behind the scenes, pulling the strings w/o letting people know what they do.

Not that I'm saying I'm one of those people.... but yeah.... I think I lost my point.

BTW, I did warn you that come college time, I might not have enough time to write the walkthroughs. Guess what? I was right. I'm currently in FINAL PROJECT time for ARCHITECTURE, so forgive me for not showing up here three times a day.

I prefer the personal feel.  I like the small community. I treasure the way people know each other to some extent, rather than looking at a member name and wondering who the hell they are.  I also like the way you get 39 members replying to the spotlight or whatever.  It shows who appreciates. Really appreciates. Has something to say. Analysis, support, criticism, reviews - these are the things I love on these boards.  I can happily ignore the things I don't find interesting. NE has just the right amount of thoughtful content, and I think it's fantastic.

I'll tell you what really bothers me is when people are in the basic chat forum asking whens the new spotlight out when this out, whens that out it really does my head in as no ones grateful for the updates they get and so one why can't people be patient (sp).

Anyways, whenever you get back to the site, do so. But don't be suprised if you lose members. Although, I could never give up my parking space.

Damn, now everybody is making freakin huge comments. i would post more, but i guess i made some people mad, so i decided to post as little as possible. and its true, i was posting just to raise my post numbers, sorry about that. and personaly i agree with Iris about the rct2 crap, i really suck at it so far, besides im finishing up my best rct1 park now and i cant stop playing it for a game that i still suck at.
well that was my longest post ever and i think that i deserve the addition to my post numbers.(jk)
