What you thought about the Hurricanes' park: I thought that the Hurricanes park obviously had way too much crashing and going on and there was too much happening for me. But the big robot was pulled off well.

What you thought about the Flying Germans' park: I liked the main hack (been done before but still good). I thought it was pretty nice in most areas. I liked the rapids and overall pretty cool.


Why you made your final decision:
I basically thought that the Germans park was much easier on the eye, it wasnt no where near as crowded but i just basically liked it better than the Hurricanes.

My vote goes to: The Flying Germans

Hurricanes
A good solid entry though a little messy in places. The ideas were good but were not always pulled off as well as they could have been. The coloured section was my least favourite because it consisted of such bright colour choices that made the area stand out too much. The robot thing however, was cool. I didn't like that LIM coaster much either. Mainly the area without the foliage around it.

The Flying Germans
A much nicer park that is in the style that I love. Each of the areas, although having the obvious connection of the pyramid idea, had it's own independance and feel. The bit at the back of the park; Mayan Mexico, seemed a bit too bare in places, but the landscaping was good in this area. The pyramid wasn't pulle dof as well as it could have been because of the choice of glass roofs.

I voted for the Flying Germans because it is my team and it is a style that I enjoy more than the Hurricanes entry.

What you thought about the Hurricanes' park:
colors were a little off, but the robot-type theme was neat and original and well executed. also the rides were pretty good and interesting.


What you thought about the Flying Germans' park:
It was a little bland, the oriental section was lacking, and the south america section was a let down. pyramid was cool, egypt was nice, that's it.


Why you made your final decision:
there's no doubting the hurricanes' park took more effort and talent to make, and in my eyes, creativity and risks prevailed in this round.

With their "win division games screw non division games" motto, they went all the way to the finals, then unleashed the multi-talented X-Sector upon their opponents, the Hurricanes!

Can't say I agree with the results, because Gotheburg got my vote in the first match-up, but I think the Germans are worthy winners. Time for post-season analysis!

Congrats germans. I definitely didn't think you'd actually win everything, especially with the way you started. But, all I can say is Congratulations for winning.

this is insane. but i'm so happy

i would like to say we would never have won if ride6 hadn't been on the team. he helped deciding on trades, changing the schedule, contacting people, win the season with his splendid work. iris, i can only recommend you this guy as a possible h2h4 captain.
also i'd like to thank x-sector, without whom we would never have won either. steve, you own at this game like hardly anyone else. i knew why i put you first on my draft list
of course all other teamates are responsible for the outcome as well. you've been a great team.

Wow. First off I must thank Posix for letting me have so much control over the team (trading and stuff was done by me). Basically I think I let Kumba screw me on a couple trades but nothing too bad and clearily it didn't matter.

I would also like to thank Iris and Corkscrewed for hosting this most excellent of events and handling it with such fair judgements. Finally I must give graditude to the other h2h teams, you guys completely made a shame of what I've built for this competition or any other. I guess luck just played into our hands.

Really tho you guys did great all season, I really liked your statagy of only trying in the divison, and all tho I do not think the better parks won.. congrats for the tilte you got, you worked hard for it.

Really tho I come in second all the time, but take my whole team down to that spot with me sucks, im sorry I did not come throw guys.

Hmm, I guess this is where having a non-player coach comes in handy huh? But then X250 apparently didn't vote, so it was a wash. What a tough way to end the season. I don't know that there was any better way to do this. It seems there was just a division of opinion. So congrats to the Flying Germans for a job well done. And to the Hurricanes too for a job well done (just not quite as well done.) My suggestion for next season is to find a way to make the results of the poll hidden. Maybe make it a seperate page like you've done for the NE awards. Then these close matches wouldn't seem quite so suspicious. But really I think you guys did a great job running this thing. There were some nice matchups, some quality parkmaking, and lots of unexpected twists. You can expect end of the season team summaries from me in the coming week.

I still can't wait to see what John was making for the finals... IMO, Venetian Harbour was one of the three best parks this season, if not the best.

Honestly I think the best way to handle next season is to have a commite of the captains before next season re write the rules and make sure they cover everything that could happen.
