Technically...we weren't the superior parkmakers..... you'd never have a chance against them. You only had a chance against us cuz of lack of recognition of skill for skillful parkmaking in the eyes of a efficient parkmaker within the judges.

Apparently because of my resignation letter, I have been IP blocked from the Olympics site. I guess my letter hit close to the nest.

I've also been told that Hawk has removed several posts by several people calling his actions and behavior into question (including my resignation letter, which he'd replied to saying he wouldn't delete).

All the while the main site page hasn't been updated with any news since March 23rd nor have the athletes downloads been made available in the forums, though apparently he has had enough time to play with yet another forum skin.

I would encourage all Olympic athletes to petition Hawk to do his job and put up the downloads of the runner-up athletes entries and to stop playing dictator with what he himself supposedly said was a Community site that he's "just hosting on [his] server."

Sorry, guys, I had hoped your downloads would be made available. But doesn't look like it's going to happen unless Hawk does the job he agreed to do.

Interesting... a lot of the threads that WERE there have been taken out, and the only feedback thread is the one on judging. Some of the sub forums have been restructred too. *shrug*

Oh grow up. You must think you're a god or something. You don't even know what has been going on in his life lately. I do, and trust me, you'd be slow on posting stuff too. He's worked just as hard as you on this, and the fact you act as if he is trying to make you look like a food and is sabotaging everything is just pathetic.

I did post my comments and only judged LL. From what I saw, I was the only judge who actaully gave any marks to the LL entries...

The LL entries I saw weren't great, Tracids was alright, but nothing amazing. Better than the other one which was barely finished.

As for your comments, yes, I do know what's been going on in Hawk's life lately, including his health (which has never been good for as long as I've known him) and his recent "good news." Up 'til a few days ago the Right Reverend Ray and I were on good talking terms... before I learned what he was saying to OJ about me and stabbing me in the back with that ever-so gracious 'olive branch' he'd supposedly extended to me.

That was Monday or Tuesday, though, so I was hoping he'd have been able to fulfill his Olympic responsibilities (like posting the athlete's entries for download) by now. But looks like the site still hasn't been updated even though he's had all weekend to do it. Though at RCT2.com he's talking about just pulling the site down... so I guess he won't need to do any work at all. And it's the athletes who suffer. Though if you listen to Hawk's pity party it's all my fault. Right.

You know... I just realized... maybe he's been helping you with Depot v.5. Goodness knows that's a lot of work for just one person to do on their own. Though last I heard you weren't getting much of any assistance from anyone at the Depot. Sucks, huh? You bust your butt working on something and no one lends a hand all the while people (the same people who are supposed to be helping you) are talking about you behind your back?

Actually, a post I can totally agree with, which is why I'm actually leaving the Depot once I get the site up and running. However, that's due to the ignorance of the staff itself, the senior staff excluded. Sometimes they were the only ones doing anything for it.

But no, the delay in getting the v5 site up is my own fault alone. Schoolwork swamped me and in turn delayed how much time I could invest into getting that site up and running. I'm the one to blame for that one since I don't want it really being messed with until I get it going smoothly.

Personally though, I find it unfair to see Hawk getting all the blame and nasty PMs from various members of the community. It's always easy to say, "I did everything that I can," and then just leave it at that. The truth probably is that miscommunication screwed both of you up in confusion (not just talking about him not posting runner-ups). This is what happened the last time between you two as I began uncovering the details in that mishap.

I personally find it a damn shame that everyone is blaming either of you for this. OJ really isn't as great a kid or as trustworthy as you think Brad. I promise you that. I've dealt with him long before either you or Ray had to. The kid stabbed me in the back several times, stealing ideas and copying features. He's not someone to be trusted, and when people started pointing the finger at him, I wouldn't put it past him at all to have tried to show everyone by screwing up the Olympics more by getting you two mad at each other as well as the rest of the community.

Just a few things to think about.

One thing, though... I'm not blaming Ray for the Olympic mess. It was a mess long before he and I tried to salvage it.

My concerns were that he had intentionally sabotaged them and meanwhile was making changes to the site, forums, and even the Charter (which states changes may only be made by the Committee)... all while ignoring the judges proceedings and since then also ignoring the obligation to post the athlete's downloads. In none of my communications with him, nor in his public replies to my resignation letter, did he ever dispute my accusations or clarify my points of contention. Instead he turned this back into the "Brad vs. Ray War" that he's been fueling since I left the Depot. A clever smokescreen that easily distracts from the fact that he has no answer to my questions.

I can handle it when his games are just affecting me. I've been handling it for nearly a year now. But this time it was affecting the broader community. That's why I spoke up publicly this time.

In the end it's all water under the bridge. I'm back to doing what I enjoy (thanks Toon!) and things are pretty much back to the way they were before all this started - I can't stand Ray and he can't stand me. I can live with that.

Regarding OJ... as with Hawk I believe in giving people a 2nd chance. Call me silly, but I have an inherant trust in people until they give me a reason not to. OJ got in over his head and was overwhelmed with the task at hand. Admittedly it's a lot of work for one person. Perhaps it could have been avoided, but cest la vie. That's drastically different from what happened with Hawk, though. So far OJ hasn't made the same mistakes twice... at least not with me. Hawk, however, does the same thing and plays the same games every time I've ever dealt with him.

Like I said earlier... fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me. I'll just be more selective in the future as to who I associate with.
